If it's equipped with the 2.0L SPI engine (eighth digit of the VIN is 'P'), the most common place for a vacuum leak on these engines, is from the PCV hose that runs from the valve cover to the back of the throttle body. Where it usually rots through is the elbow at the back where it connects to the throttle body. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you have a leaking vacuum line. If it has a hole or is cracked, it will leak or **** air causing the idle to be erratic. The vacuum lines or hoses should be traced down for any cracks or dry rot and replaced. The heat from the engine and the emissions causes the hoses to break down and a lot of people don't realize these should be replaced. The vacuum lines or hoses coming from the intake area is the main area to look at.
there are many vacuum hoses,i dont know if this is a s10 or full size blazer, heres a diagram for the s 10 blazer with the 4.3 if this is not your engine let me know, but heres a diagram, just look over all the lines, hope this helps.
First Replace your Gas Cap. It has a Leak around the Cap causing the Erratic Idle. Next- Go to Wal Mart and Purchase 2 Cans of B12 Chemtool in the Automotive Section. Run 1 Can at a Time through a Full tank of gas. This will help Tremendously!
