Try the Holden wreckers for a replacement . many statesman parts are interchangeable with the same year Holden sedan series.. There are after market reservoirs that will fit as well.

Coolant overflow tank V8

To replace the Coolant overflow tank is not difficult.
You only need a few tools to disconnect the plastic container from the mounting bracket. Just be sure to do this while the engine is off and coolant cold. Check the tubes inside and out to assure no cracking or deterioration. If found defective replace. These are inexpensive and easy to cut to length using the old tubes as guides.
Hope this helps good luck!

Need to find the source of the excessive amounts of coolant leaking from the front-passenger side of the radiator/fan area. I found a tube that is connected on one end but not the other that I am currently...

It's probably the radiator overflow tank hose. It is supposed to be connected the the coolant overflow tank and also the other end at the radiator, next to the pressure cap. It allows excess coolant to escape the radiator if necessary and also to **** in coolant if needed.

Hello my 1994 camry toyota has a problem holding the water. We replaced the thermostat, fan switch, radiator cap, and it keeps comsuming the water. What do you think the problem might be? Javier

Javier, have you checked the coolant overflow tank for holes, cracks, or loose hose? When the engine in your car heats up, the coolant expands. The coolant overflow tank (located near the radiator) takes up any coolant that is forced out of the radiator. If the tank is damaged or not connected to the radiator correctly, the coolant will not siphon back into the cooling system when the engine cools off.

How difficult is it to replace coolant resesvoir on a 2001 Lincoln LS with V8 engine

Typically reservoirs have a few bolts on the top and /or sides and a push in mount on the bottom and a hose going from the bottom to the Radiator as well as an overflow hose on the top. Remove those bolts and pull up on the tank before you take off the bottom hose. Now have the new tank close while you remove the bottom hose, then quickly put the hose on the new tank. You can also use a pair of vice grips to pinch off the bottom hose so you don't lose too much coolant. I suggest you put a pan under the vehicle to catch the coolant that leaks out. Reverse procedure to re-install tank, making sure you get that push mount shaft into the right hole so the bolts will line up.

97 cadillac eldorado overflowing through overflow pipe

The most common overheating problem with the Northstar engine is a blocked purge line. It's job is to purge air out of the cooling system.
There is a small diameter hose coming from near the top of the coolant tank(not the cap),this is the purge line.
With the engine idling, pull the purge line from the tank,if there is no coolant flow from this small hose,it is blocked and this will cause overheating. If the hose is clear, check for blockage at the nipple on the tank.Or trace the hose back until you find the blockage. The hose goes in to the engine to a crossover and comes out the other side to near the thermostat housing, the blockage may be there.

Where Does The Overflow Tank Hose Connect

to weaker mixture will cause vehicle to overheat ,but i think that the radiator cap rubber has perished causing the coolant to throw out or the head gasket ,get the cooling system pressure tested ,and then run engine with gauge attached to check for excessive pressure build up ,(head gasket test) ,another trick is to fit a bottle to end of the overflow pipe so what goes out gets sucked back in when engine cools .Check the rubber seal in teh rad cap and check the seating that it pushes and closes onto.As for the sliding doors use your judgement and you will not go far wrong
