It could be that the rear collision sensors (or any of the other ones were damaged in the collision). They work as a system so if one is down, it may effect the others. The dealer can diagnose and reset if there isn't any damaged sensors. Before you take it to them, try to determine if the wiring harness under the seats might be unplugged or corroded. It's not uncommon after a collision.

SOURCE: DTC B1650 occupant classification system

If it is like a Chrysler, you will need to go to the dealer and have them redo the OCS. This has to do with the passenger airbag system and how much force it will send the air bag with.

Code B1650 2013 Toyota Prius

This code refers to the front passenger airbag. There is a fault in the that part of the system so you will need to get a airbag specialist to look at it as soon as you can. Remember this is a safety feature on the vehicle so DON'T ignore it.

2014. What are the probable causes of DTC B1650?

go google and type in--- fault code b1650 on toyota 2014 model--and there is a site --www.toyotapart.com which has a pdf down load and explanation of the fault
it concerns the passenger initialization of the air bag systems and how they are locked out if there are no passengers
it requires a special procedure to reset it
it covers recalls as well
I would suggest that you down load the pdf version, study it then take the car to a service dealer senter and have it fixed under warranty

Codes b1650 and b1346

Could your codes be different than mine? I could find anything starting with B, they all started with P.

I found no P1346 code, but found P1650 which is

P1650 Powertrain control module fault (quad driver 2)
This has to do with the transmission and if you have a manual transmission I think it doesn't apply.

If the airbag light is not coming on, this indicates a bulb is burnt out or the airbag control module is bad.

Good luck on this one.

DTC B1650 occupant classification system fault. 2007

If the vehicle has been in a rear end collision, expect this. If not, it just may need to have the Occ Class Sys reset. Toyota Dealer only.
