Top went down but wouldn't close. managed to close it enough manually before taking to volvo dealer. recalibrated it and managed to get it closed(although still a slight gap) but now have permanent "dinging "noise and flashing warning light to say roof not closed properly. too scared to push button to find out if it will now open/close. dealership just said a couple of error codes were noted. is there any specifications on the electric roof which pinpoint areas to check /fix on the operating system ? please help

SOURCE: Radio code for volvo s40
If the display says "Off" the radio is locked from incorrect code input.
You need to leave the key in the accessory position with the radio on (display reads 'Off') for about two hours.
After that it should ask for he code again. You have three tries before it locks again.
Some radios are different, but typically you use the knob to adjust the numbers, push the knob in to move to the next number
SOURCE: catalytic converter check engine light 2001 s60 volvo
usually if you start to hear a rumble, and by rumble i mean it sounds like a bunch of pieces of metal are clanking around in your exhaust then the catalytic converter needs to be repaired. It could also be the oxygen sensor which is located on top of the converter. Volvo did an interesting job of having them sit on top of each other.
