2007 Cobalt 2.2 Lt Turn single won't cancel back and there's no clicking sound. Here's the story, my two year son decided to hang on the turn single stick like a monkey bar and broke it in half. So I went to Auto Zone and got a new one. Took the old one off and replaced with the new one. Took the car out for a test drive thinking everything is great, but no I trun right, there's no clicking sound and no cancel back once the steering wheel is straight, or at all. Everything is done manually, same for the left side. So what I want to know is the problem, is it the new part that's bad, is it a fuse that's bad, is it a wiring issue, is it a steering wheel issues. Please help if u know what the problem is and how to fix of course. Ps. Everything was working fine before my son broke it. Cancel back, check. Clicking sound, check. Thanks, Daniel

SOURCE: 2005 Chevy Cobalt

The replacement of the steering column assembly will require a setup procedure for complete repair. This is done via a tech 2 scanner. A good dealer technician should know this.

Eletronic Power Steering (EPS) is one of the latest ideas to eliminate the fluid type power steering systems. It eliminates the power steering pump thus adding miles per gallon.

2007 chevy cobalt ls won't start battery good starter good turn key nothing no click nothing all lites work on dash and radio works jumped starter with screwdriver turns. Over but won't start...

Ignition relay or fuse could be the problem. When you turn the key to start do you hear a fuel pump kicking on and or do you have spark when you hot wire the starter (I know it's hard to check while trying to start it)? You can email me back and I might be able to pinpoint it more.

Speaker problem

the only way to check this is to pull you factory radio out and check the connections on the back side you should have 2 black clips that plug into the radio if those are loose it will short out from time ti time and not work when you put your turn signals on

It sounds like there is something very major wrong with your ride. I think it would have something wrong with the fuse box or computer system.
