Code P0703/T/C light on/brake light on

The ECM and the engine need to be from the same vehicle and then the ECM needs programming with your VIN Number and your mileage.

P062f - generic PCM eprom code, means the pcm either has an internal fault, or its internal memory is well and truly scrambled.

no books. why do that ,? (pain)
i guess you get scan codes. and above is wrong. P0703. is it.?
post the full codes, all of them all DTCs stored.
then look them up in the FSM and what does it says.
it tells you, to do more tests. to find true cause.

car drives prefect,
the CEL glows, or the scan tools shows MIL active.

the hold is for ice.
the hold prevents down shifts (dangerous) on ICE.

with most feature of the TCM (tranny brain) lots of failures
cross over. to shifting.
lots.
like engine overheated
engine overloaded.
engine speed,
brakes on or off.
cruise controls
traction. and ABS.
direction controls. (if present)

so stop ignoring those codes and fix what it told you to fix

summary:Suzuki vehicles: automatic transmission shift lever is loose in the shift gate and/or ignition key cannot be removed. The transmission gear shift lever does not hold firmly to the left of the shift gage as expected.

and the 703, dont lie. it told you its fails and you ignored this fact.

it's bad, replace or recalibrate the switch.
and on newer cars the switch may need calibration after the replacement.
owning a Chapter 11 car company car is a PITA.

id sell it. i would and get a Toyota.

P0703 Suzuki - Brake Switch Circuit Malfunction
Possible causes
- Faulty Brake Switch
- Misadjusted Brake Switch
- Brake Switch harness is open or shorted
- Brake Switch circuit poor electrical connection
Check if the stop light works with the brake pedal, if the brake lights are inoperative, replaced or adjust the brake switch.
Symptoms:
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Brake lights inoperative

code p0703 refers to torque converter / brake switch B--circuit malfunction===causes--wiring--torque converter/ brake switch--ECM/TCM. The problem may not be in the brakes circuit but in the torque converter sensors.

About $20 for a new brake light switch that can be installed in about 15 minutes or less usually, may be good insurance for a long distance drive. The code doesn't say it's a switch malfunction, the computer has seen a fault in the brake switch circuit and set the code-could just be a poor connection there.
More important, how do the brake lights work? I think I'd buy the switch or check the connector by the pedal at least. The computer may not let the cruise control work because of the code.

Hi the code P0703 is Brake switch B circuit malfunction. I`m not sure if this means the brake switch
is faulty or the wiring to it is faulty.
The brake switch is the best place to start ( but check the connections to the switch )

replace brake light switch on brake padel ......brake light and inter-lock run through it....

replace the brake light switch,which doubles as the inter lock
switch.. located on the brake pedal shank....the brake lights will work and shift out of park
