You'll have to go to a Jeep dealership, or another pro4x4 shop if I knew you area I could search for, just google mechanics in you area then call, to ask them if they can re program yours, or visit there website. Should cost less than $100 so gather or purchase all your keys before you commit. And I wouldn't mention to them until it's time to hand them the keys, that you want to include more than one key, just as a bargaining strategy to put pressure on them to keep a lower price, I also would not pay that kind of price unless they would do multiple keys but if you ask early they have time to inflate the price a bit. Even one step further, while they are doing this easy technical task ask for an computer diagnostic analysis of your vehicle, again do this in person, just after you hand over you keys, this will give you a feel of how competent they are and how up to date they could be operating there business,
be more clear., please.
what works, and dont, using all ways to lock a car.
all doors. all methods.
inside or out side car. (fob and not fob ways)
only that matters
Unfortunately MOST battery operated key fobs are poorly built. Its very common for one of the battery contact solder joints inside the fob to break loose. I've repaired more than 30 of them so far. Check the solder joints and re-solder as needed.
Anti theft system activated ? If you unlock this vehicle with the key , you by pass the anti theft system . Close everything and lock it with the key fob /and then unlock it with the key fob . If this fails try You Tube .
the key dont work or just the fob?????????????
did you try both fobs?
car came with 2 fobs try both. ?
if both fobs fail, bad solenoid, if metal key works.
if metal dont work, the lock is frozen with ICE, got ICE?(hair dryer fixes it)
no ice ?,then lube the lock with graphite, lube. if key fails.
if key dont fail and you get 12v to solenoid, then the solenoid is bad
I just replaced one that had 1/2 power (the guts inside sol were bad)
$100 part. too.
if the rubber cap on the key is black, you can get a copy made anywhere. if it is grey, it has an electronic transponder in it and you need to have it copied at the dealer.
higher end starters will have the lock/unlock/panic buttons built onto their fob. as for the seats... I dont know why it would interfere with your settings, but who knows... better to ask the seller of the remote start system.
