Driver seat wont move back

Penny was in the track for past few years. chair was moved all the way forward for cleaning, and now will not slide back. the electric mototr and the 3 buttons are fine. However, the driver seat moves maybe an inch, not more. Can just the tracking be replaced? Will after market tracks help? Honda dealer says replace the entire seat.

Of course they do not have to buy the seat. You can remove the seat and some tracks bolt to the bottom which you can replace with a good used one for less than half the $$$ .

The driver side power seat button moves forward and backward and reclines, but wont move up or down, the seat is stuck all the way down so i cant get to the wrom gear underneath, how do i go about raising...

I am working on a replacement motor that will come with a new gear/shaft on it. I have one of my setups in the car right now and have the parts for another one ordered. I hope to make a video of the repair in a couple weeks when the parts show up. Still uses plastic gears, but these are larger, more durable gears and the swap is fairly straight forward with just a few modifications.

Front seat will not slide forward? The seat will move up and down, tilt, and the lumbar works? Even the heated/cooling seat works? What do I need to look for and how do I fix it:?

The power seat in the truck has 3 motors, one of them is not working, the most common cause of this is the power seat switch is defective, it is often the forward and reverse seat positioning switch that fails because it is the one that is most used. If the switch checks ok then you will need to replace the the power seat track assembly, Ford does not sell any parts for the track, it is only available as one complete unit, I know this because i retired form a Ford dealer. Broken power seat - cannot slide backward. Can I slide it manually?

Ck for debri or other objwcts in way of tracks Does it try to move? If so, there is an obstruction, If not trying or no sound when switch is moved, could very well be a fuse or the forward limit switch is being affected by excess forward travel. Move the switch yo back and without kinda help it. if it's trying.

94 silverado driver seat stuck

Go under the seat and check both slide tracks for anything jamming it up...I've removed gloves, socks, candy boxes etc from tracks. Also if its not a power seat, check that when you move the release lever it is connected by a stiff wire to the opposite side. That wire releases the right side track. If broken or stretched, it wont.
