My 1998 saturn sc1 lights and radio would flicker when pressing the brakes, sometimes it would shut off when pressing the brakes in reverse, now it will not turn completely over or hold a charge in the battery. Is it a ground issue or is there some kind of sensor issue
Corrosion on you battery terminal will create high resistance.inspect the battery connectors and wire. if you find white/blue crystals on you terminal disconnect and clean. the battery cable must be gold/light brown. If the wire are black/blue that mean is burn from bad(lose) connection to the terminal and need replacement.Inspect all ground connection betvin battery and body for corrosion or lose
You are having a earthing problem now this can be a build up of electrolyte on the shell earthing point this can eat the copper away and you will lose earth. leave a white paint like substance on the wiring if gets to bad can eat the wire away. mostley happens to the main earth off the battery so would check that first.

Battery is fine and alternator is fine also and the starter is not the issue.
