Only does t once and awhile but seems to be getting more and mor often. cranks over just fine but doesn't even attempt to start until you hold the gas pedal to the floor then fires up but runs rough and have to pump the gas to rev it up to like 2500 rpm then runs fine until the next time it happens. also only does it after driving for atleast 15 to 20 min and only shutting it off for no longer than 10 min.
If you hold the pedal to the floor it puts the fuel system into Clear Flood Mode. This prevents the injectors from firing and lets the already present fuel burn out. Now if this has to be done on every short trip you probably have a leaking injector.
Does the vehicle seem to crank slowly or stop and then crank when this happens?

I believe its the main relay u are looking for. This relay controls the fuel pump and spark. Its located under the steering column. Grey in color and usually has one bolt attaching it. Hope this helps.

Could very well be the main relay, limiting power to all the electronics in your car, causing the problems you've mentioned. Have it repaired or replaced.

Check compression and timing belt. If belt is ok and you have compression, check to see if you have a pulse at the injectors. You use a device called a NOID light (basically a light bulb that plugs into the injector plug. Unplug the injectors one by one and plug the light in then crank the engine. Light should blink on and off if the system is working properly. If not check for a bad crank sensor, blown injector fuse and wiring harness. Hope this helps.
