Was cleaning it ... evidently I did a NO NO idle too long?? but all lights, air, etc work

i would check battery connections and test battery. a battery can have a bad cell and run lights but not have enough amps to spin a stater. if everything on battery is good i would suspect a bad starter
If the lights dont dim when you try to start it and you do hear a distinct click try tapping the starter with a hammer while some one is trying the key, also locate the stsrt solinoid thats the thing that should click when turning the key, check to see if when it clicks that 12 volts from ground to the bolt that holds the wire going to the starter is present
