Check the hand book ,there should be a code written in the back or front,if not you go to the dealer and they can look up on computer using the Vin. No.and rego.
When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Hyundai service centre and get them to enter this code for you.
Does anyone have any tips for obtaining the radio security code in an Astra without having to fork out the $25 - $33 being quoted by all the Holden dealers i've contacted?,
First check your paperwork and manual to see if the little wallet card with the code is on it.
Hondas have the exact same issue except that with Hondas you can go online, register, enter the original purchase date (when it was purchased new), the VIN and the Serial Number of the stereo and get the code. I've done some research on Hyundai and unfortunately they don't offer this service online and when you call them they don't have codes for any vehicles newer than 1995.
Your only option is to go to the service department at a Hyundai dealer. They can do it but expect to be charged.
Good luck!
contact the service department for your vehicle make. provide details, such as rego, name etc make and model of vehicle and they should then be able to give you the code.
