The engine control module (ECM) communicates with the TCM to monitor the automatic transmission for faults. Code p0700 is a transmission code and you would have gear shifting and other faults.

P0700 is a generic transmission fault code. It only means that you have to take it to a shop, so that they can read the fault code with a scanner in the transmission controller.

unable to locate description for P1776,can you get all systems scanned for codes again as 0700 just indicates that a fault has occurred that has lit the check light and logged at the ECU.
Obviously it will be related to the shift fault,maybe a speed sensor or a dirty fluid fault.
Get back to me with any extra info.

P0700 is a code in the ECM telling you there is a code in the transmission. Your scanner needs to be able to check transmission codes to determine the fault.
