2002 VW Golf 2.0. Car wouldn't start code P0321 replaced crankshaft sensor, car still won't start but now gives me code P0322.

2.0L liter? must be MARK IV in UK???? petrol right? not 2.0 TDI

ours is USA only 1.8L I4, here. +2.5 and 2.8
or 1.8L is belted cams.

In UK the belt is 120km /5year rated. at VW

the manual said for p0322 , the 2 sensors read wrong
that means it is out of time.
and fully normal this old. ignored for 20years, 2002 to 2023?

if the cam belt is bad
1000 new cam and crank sensors will never ever fix the car.
see?
with a water pump too see how it runs off the same cam belt>
do the full kit.

see this for fast example, and real, belt, I'd buy gates belts.or DAyco.

VW Rabbit 2009, EPC light and P0322 code. Ignition needs to be cranked 4-5 seconds before car starts.

P0332 = Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor/engine speed (RPM) sensor - no signal.
The sensor monitoring the RPM's of the engine isn't communicating with the vehicle's ECU, (brain). This could explain the difficulty starting the engine.

06 Volkswagen beetle 2.5 code p0322 replaced crank sensor ran fine for about 20 miles same code again starts when cold when warms up no start

code p 322 refers to crank (CKP) sensor / engine speed (RPM) sensor ---no signal===causes ---wiring--CKP sensor---RPM sensor --ECM
as you state that it ran for a distance , that would indicate initially that the sensors are good but the ECM (engine control module) may be suffering over heating component failure
have the ECM tested

Vw code p0322

If the only code you get is P0322, then it is most likely the crankshaft position sensor. Prior to this code, I received the P0321. Crankshaft position sensor only cost me $15 at ebay while $170 at your local autopart stores. My problem was that my car would crank for 4 seconds then start up. Once it starts, there is a loud air suction sound. Kind of like a quiet vacuum, as if the engine is trying to get as much oxygen as it can. This was only happening in the morning, but won't happen again throughout the day. You can call it a sign that it is going to get worst.

My car has over 200k miles and this is the first time it happened. I've went ahead and replaced it considering the age of the car and the sensor looked beat. It has been 2 months so far after replacing, and no problem yet. Goodluck with yours and hoped my bad experience helped you out.

The code on my car vw new jetta 2005 its a 2.5 the codes is reading on my car p0322 and code p3081 the reading was took when my epc light came on and my engine light on and i have a oil link i smell r

code p3081 refers to engine temperature too low===causes--allow engine to warm up---cooling system fault
I would check for a thermostat stuck open

code p0322 refers to crank shaft position (CKP) sensor/engine speed (RPM) sensor--no signal===causes--wiring---CKP/RPM sensor---ECM

No start. Cranks ok. No spark. check engine light "on" p0322 code

Could be the distributor speed sensor which tells the coils when to fire.

If a trouble code on a 2000 vw shows speed sensor and the test comes out good what is the problem

engine speed sensor could be faulty.engine speed sensor provides the ECM with a crankshaft position signal.the ECM uses the signal to determine a crankshaft reference point top dead center and calculate engine speed. engine speed sensor like the crankshaft position sensor.if sensor faulty fuel system wont work. a bad engine coolant temperature sensor will cause engine shut off when hot.

If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus i know a website that sells very cheap but very very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime.

it's reliable-store.com please try it

I have a 2004 VW Passat the engine light came on had it diagnosed the code is P0322 what does it mean and how is it fixed? Thanks

Symptoms- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Lack/Loss of Power
- The engine may be harder to start
- The engine may stumble or stallPossible causes- Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor harness circuit is open or shorted
- Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor poor electrical connection
- Faulty Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor
- Faulty Crankshaft Position sensor
- Low battery charge
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)When is the code detected? The P0322 code is triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects no signal.P0322 VOLKSWAGEN DescriptionIgnition failure sensor is used to check whether the spark ignition is occurred correctly or not and also used to tachometer drive. The sensor monitors the voltage difference between a resistance which is on the battery circuit for ignition coil. When the ignition coil works properly, the electric current through the resistance is detected as voltage drop. This is confirmed for every ignition event with the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensor. If ECM detects a malfunction, no ignition is possible, so the engine would not start. If there is no ignition signal for a predetermined cycle for one or two ignition coils, an ignition coil circuit failure exists.

I have a 1999 VW golf 2.0 gl code P0322, P0422, and P0303 code. I need help

  • 16706 P0322 Ign./distributor Eng. Speed Inp. Circ No signal
  • 16687 P0303 Cyl. 3 Misfire Detected
  • 16806 P0422 Main Catalyst, Bank 1 Below Threshold
P0322 Could be caused by a faulty Engine Speed Sensor also known as a Crankshaft Pos./Engine Speed Sensor.

P0303 Might have a faulty #3 Fuel Injector, Faulty spark plug and/or faulty spark plug wire and connectors.

P0422 Either your front 02 sensor is faulty and/or your catalytic converter is fried and needs replacing.
