For 1995 and older models. Simply lock the door with the key from outside of the car,then unlock it. Then start the car. I think this lets the computer know that someone who has the correct key is attempting to start it.
its the same. but a different pulley takes place of the a/c compressor. I know DORMAN makes a few "bypass pulleys" to do this, but dont know if they make one for your truck. at the worst... you will need to get a pulley and bracket from the dealer for a truck without a/c . as long as your a/c pulley bearing is ok, you can let the belt run there.
replace the ignition lock cylinder, that should cure the problem, but u will need to have the VATS module re-programmed to accept the new VATS key resistance value, this is preformed by the dealer only.
Sometimes you can route the belt the same as one with no air. your parts dealer may have a belt route if yours is missing from the car. sometimes you need to put an idler where the compressor is. Don't run the car without the belt. Even if you put a used compressor on without charging the system, you need the belt for the water pump.
Your newer vehicles are computer controlled, so if the engine light was on you need to find out what the codes are. If not then the pbroblem is usually mechanical. It could be your computer, but without sending it to the dealer the only thing you can try is see if a scan tool will read your ECM. If it doesn't then it could be. Any more info about your truck issue would be helpful.
Sounds like a bad install and the wiring might be crossed. But as they stated, without schematics, it's hard to know which wire is which. Acura should cooperated if the Honda dealer is authorized. Mention "small claims court" and see how fast they cooperate. BTW, the MDX and Pilot share alot of the schematics. i don't know why Honda can't play with it. I believe they don't want the liability.
Ask the dealer this is 3rd time its going to replace it there must some factory defect which is causing this problem , please get the compressor with extended warranty say about 3 years, tell your facing this problem ,once fixed get it checked every 3 months which helps keep a long life of the compressor and reduce the burden to you for maintainance of the car................
