I'm not getting a signal from the stator to the EEC. I have checked for ground and there is ground.

If there is no spark to the coil thenit has t be in your ignition box. Most likely on the passenger side undeer the hood. If no spark through te coil then you need a new coil. Or it could be as simple as a ground wire undone.

2000 Ford Mustang 3.8 engine. Code shows misfire on #5 spark plug. What do I need to check. Changed spark plugs, plug wires and coil pack and still not helping?

Check basic stuff. Compresson first. Compare #5 with the other cylinders. If it's lower, squirt some oil in and check again. If it comes up, rings. If it doesn't come up, valves or perhaps head gasket.

Why isnt cylinder 1 and 5 firing on a 2003 ford mustang v6

First check for worn sparkplugs and if they still god then check for spark on those cylinders by pulling the sparkplug wire off and cranking the engine over.If there is no spark then replace the coil.If there is spark i would have the injectors leaned.

My 1985 ford bronco will not fire out of the distributor but it will fire out of the coil

Check the distributor cap for cracks or dirt that can short circuit the spark.
Check the leads and the rotor. if there is spark at the coil then you are loosing it at the distributor or the coil lead.

1985 ford mustang convertible I was driving and hit a bump and the car turned off and did not wont to start again. I do not no where the kill swish is.and if that is the problem.

Check and see if the coil wire has come off, the voltage to the electics section is missing at some point. check on the coil, the contactor, for voltage.check if the fuse jumped or shorted off. if not loop up with a 12 volt to the coil to get the car started and probed later. Hope there is fuel in the car and is not an issue.

Car repair

i had the same problem just a little bit ago with my 91 mustang lx 2.3L. b. If you are not getting and sparks from your coil packs then im going to guess this is where the problem is. start by replacing all spark plugs and wires. if this does not work it most likely the coil packs ,But if there is spark then its your timing belt.
