SOURCE: remote car key not working to unlock car. it does

Most likely the remote is the culprit. It sending a signal and the body control module is receiving it so that eliminates the remainder of the system. If you have two remotes then try the other one.If not, you can go to your nearest dealership and they have a remote checker. They can set the remote on it and push the buttons and it will light up if all the buttons are working on your remote.Hope this information helps,
Ken

SOURCE: keyless remote works intermittently

replace the battery in your remote, or have it checked at autozone to make sure it's not just your remote.

SOURCE: it rained in my car and now my trunk release does

Sounds like water got to that trunk release. Pull it out, try drying it off, or replacing it if it looks damaged. maybe water is still collected at the electrical connector, or has corroded it.

Hi, I have a Holden Astra TS city 98 model car and the remote on the key will open all the doors except the drivers door, so to lock all doors I have to put the key in the drivers door or use the remote &...

A plastic clip that holds the lock linkage is probably broke or worn. You need to pull of the inner door panel to see whats going on inside. Use the remote and see whats happening. It could be bent rod in door from someone using a slim jim to unlock it when they locked the keys in it at some point. Bend the rod and try the remote again untill it works properly.

to end mode open door or insert key into ig.you can do up to 4 remotes.read this a couple of times to get the sequence down.there are time restraints, but if you go in order it will work.do not wait more than a second b/t each step and you will be ok.i know from experience that you can do this as fast as you can and it will enter mode.if steps out of order or you wait to long it wont.print this and have in lap, read ahead of what you are doing.good luck
