You need a factory or some other professional type scan tool to read codes in the theft - deterrent module . You can't guess an fix the problem . Try contacting Nissan. On some vehicles there is a procedure for recoding the antitheft computer. This is when you get a key with a computer chip. Tell them you do not have a second key to start the recoding process. The owners manual may give you a procedure for making a copy of the original but it requires a second original key to do it.
