SOURCE: my 2005 nissan xterra won't

When you try to start does the motor spin but wont start or is there no noise at all, if its no noise at all then i would start by checking the starter and if it spins but wont start then try holding gas pedal down and cranking the motor with a dead battery it may have lost memory and will need to run awhile to relearn idle at start up and other readings you may need to hold gas pedal to keep running for a few minutes, start with this first.

2000 nissan xterra have brand new battery turn the key on no power to anything

If your 2000 Nissan Xterra has a brand new battery but there's no power to anything when you turn the key on, it's possible that there's an issue with the electrical system. Here are a few things you can check:
  1. Check the battery connections: Make sure the battery cables are properly connected and tightened. Loose or corroded connections can prevent the battery from supplying power to the vehicle.
  2. Check the fuses: Check the fuses in the fuse box to see if any are blown. If you find a blown fuse, replace it with a new one of the same amperage.
  3. Check the starter: If the starter is not working properly, it can prevent the engine from turning over. Listen for a clicking noise when you turn the key, which could indicate a faulty starter.
  4. Check the ignition switch: The ignition switch sends power to the starter and other electrical components. If the switch is faulty, it can prevent the vehicle from starting.
  5. Check the alternator: If the alternator is not working properly, it can prevent the battery from charging and supplying power to the vehicle. You can test the alternator using a multimeter.
If you are not comfortable performing these checks yourself, it's best to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic or Nissan dealership for diagnosis and repair.

My security system is locked on i tired to program key fob to much i think and my key has chip in it help cant afford dealer or locksmith 2006 nissan xterra

Nothing you can do , except make it worst . All vehicles from 2000 on have a transponder chip inside the key head . You need a factory or some other professional type scan tool to read codes in the theft - deterrent module . You can't guess an fix the problem . You can buy a launch scan tool for about $800.00 that would work. You need to know the code stored .

NVIS (NISSAN VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-NATS) PFP:25386 Description UBS00MOP ? If the security indicator lights up with the ignition switch in the ON position or "NATS MALFUNCTION" is displayed on "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" screen, perform self-diagnostic results mode with CONSULT-II using NATS program card. Refer to BL-102, "NVIS(NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System-NATS)" . ? Confirm no self-diagnostic results of NVIS (NATS) is displayed before touching "ERASE" in "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode with CONSULT-II. ? When replacing ECM, initialization of NVIS (NATS) system and registration of all NVIS (NATS) ignition key IDs must be carried out with CONSULT-II using NATS program card. Therefore, be sure to receive all keys from vehicle owner. Regarding the procedures of NVIS (NATS) initialization aand all NVIS (NATS) ignition key ID registration, refer to CONSULT-II Operation Manual, IVIS/NVIS. SEF543X

On a 2002 nissan xterra does the speedometer plug into the transmission

Personally, I would take it back to the tech and make him do it (my customers would not hesitate).

With that said, the answer to your question is YES. The Vehicle Speed Sensor (if your vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission) is located on the right rear of the transmission housing.

Nissan Xterra won't start with new key

Try contacting Nissan. On some vehicles there is a procedure for recoding the antitheft computer. This is when you get a key with a computer chip. Tell them you do not have a second key to start the recoding process. The owners manual may give you a procedure for making a copy of the original but it requires a second original key to do it.
