Did you check under the hood? There should be a decal w/ the proper routing of the belt somewhere in or around the engine compartment. If u can't find it, let me know, I'll try to get more info. countrycurt0

SOURCE: serpentine belt

Hi there weekie,

Simple and easy. Really.

  • Get a 14mm or 9/16" socket and a long handled ratchet or breaker bar.
  • The tensioner pulley is on a spring loaded arm. Get your socket on the center nut of this pulley.
  • Slowly pull the ratchet toward the center of the engine. The pulley will pivot on the arm allowing you to get the belt off.
  • Slowly release the tension.
  • You're done

SOURCE: toyota echo serpentine belt

The only way to loosen and tighten the serpentine belt is by loosening the alternator and sliding it back or forward. There are TWO bolts that must be loosened, one above, and one below the alternator pulley. A bit of penetrating oil can make things easier.

I doubt anyone knows that off the top of their head. You could run a string through the path you want the belt to take and measure how much string it takes. This will give you an approximate length for the belt -- most parts stores could find one close to that size.

Ac compressor seized on my 2003 Toyota echo. It broke 2 serpentine belts. Can't find a bypass pulley anywhere is there another alternative I cam do to get it running til I can afford to.fox it right?

Hi,

please search for cheaper version of the parts on a website like alibaba where you can shop internationally and get the same parts for a fraction of the value. However, you might to need examine these parts properly virtually some how. You can also talk to your local mobile mechanics and they might be able to find a work around for you that is not extremely expensive.

Thank you.

I have a 2003 3.0 v6 12v ford Taurus what size belt do I need to bypass the a.c. compressor?

belt 82 1/2 " long at parts store --part #5060825 -- fits perfectly to bypass AC on 2003 Taurus
you will need to purchase a serpentine belt for a taurus that isn't equipped with airconditioning, and that will match up just right with the other pulleys

What size serpentine belt to bypass ac compressor?

as there are engine running that have no ac fitted there will be belts to fit your car. Go to an auto parts shop that has a good selection of belts and they will have a catalogue with your belt listed.

How to put serpentine belt on 2003 Toyota Echo?

Just run the belt over all the grooved pulleys with the belt grooves toward the grooved pulley and the smooth outside or backside of the belt rides against the one smooth pulley. The possibilities are limited so it should be obvious once you start.
