Sounds like a relay, search the web for location on your specific vehicle. Also check the knob for function. Sometimes the knob breaks and then does not turn the shaft that controls the system.

There is also a blower motor resistor which controls blower speeds and it may melt and stay connected.

2009 F-150 Lariat Blower stays on all the time what should I check?

Probable cause that the blower motor continues is that the power supply is constant. The only time that the blower motor is off is when you actually turn the heater/Air conditioner switch off. The blower remains on all the time if you are only using the fan controller as this only controls blower speed.

Check to make sure that the controller is working properly. Is this a 2009 Lariat? or a 1997 F150? I have a controller for the 1997,

When I turn on the heater or air conditioner , what sounds like the blower squeals and then the pick up will quit . could the blower be pulling the altinator down and killing the engine.

it is most likely the clutch on your ac compressor has siezed. start the truck.....turn on a/c and look to see if the pulleys are all moving

When I turn my car off the air conditioner still runs-I needed a jump the other day because it ran all night and wore the battery down.

OK, if the relay for the A/C fan is bad, then the radiator's fan will keep running after turning off the ignition. Also, if the fan for ventilation of the A/C in the cabin stays on after the ignition is turned off, the relay for that is bad.

Good luck on this repair.

Why won't the air conditioner fan shut off when I turn off the engine.

Engine fan or cabin blower? Actually either can stay on if relay contacts are burned and sticking. Engine fans sometimes stay on for a few minutes after the car is turned off but should not run for a max of more than three minutes.

Air conditioner and heater makes loud noise when turned on.

This might be the noise problem in your blower. The blower is out of balance with this added weight.5610f51.jpg

Air Conditioner Problem

I would use a multimeter and check if the voltage changes at the blower motor, as you turn up the blower speed on the controls. If it goes up, you need a blower motor. If not, the a/c amplifier.
