SOURCE: 2005 Hyundai Tucson jerking violently

mirandamcl,

I just took my 2006 Tucson in to have this fixed. It was simply that that hose from the air filter was not clamped on tight. That was 2 days ago, no more problem.

SOURCE: my car is jerking while accelerating and reaching certain RPM

I would look for a fault in the ignition system such as a cracked spark plug. Might need a scope check to put your finger on the problem

could be the iac valve, idle air control valve.

Fix airbag warning light which stays on

Airbag Service Reset Tools

Find the fuse panel cover in the foot well on the driver's side of the vehicle. Pull down on it to open it.
Find a yellow connector inside the fuse panel. Pull out this connector. This is the airbag power connector, also called the SRS power connector.
Insert one end of the paperclip into one terminal of the SRS power connector and insert the other end of the paperclip into the other terminal.
Put the key into the ignition and turn on the vehicle, making sure you don't start the engine. The paperclip shorts out the SRS light, thus resetting and turning it off. Plug the SRS power connector back into the fuse panel. Put the cover back on the fuse panel and shut off the vehicle.
Wait a couple of minutes, then turn the engine on. Look on the instrument panel to ensure that the SRS light has turned off. Turn off the engine and remove the keys from the vehicle.

SRS light came on on dash. windshield wipers are sluggish, radio stopped, no lights, power windows are slow. Jerks when you change gears. I've turned it off and now won't start. I don't know what the SRS...

Your describing what happenes when a car runs out of battery power and your altenator has failed you. On your dash lights, has a battery symbol light appeared? An easy way to find out if your altenator has kicked the bucket is to hook up a voltage meter and see if you have 14.5 volts at your battery while the engine is running. But before you do that, you need to get your battery charged. Once you have that taken care of any auto parts store can do a free test with a battery tester to find out what is the cause of your electrical issue. For your SRS light it maybe due to your battery running dead or something else, You will need a scanner for that and again an auto parts store should be able to pull the code. Hope this helps you out.

Srs light, crazy odometer then no read outs, engine stalls won't start

Check the battery and alternator wiring connections. Also, check the alternator belt. If it is missing or has no tension, the belt tensioner may be broken. The thumping seems to imply a catastrophic mechanical failure or a small explosion affecting the electrical system, but it may have been unburned fuel igniting in the catalytic converter due to a problem with the engine computer (perhaps it wasn't working right due to the electrical problem).

WHEN YOU PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE IT WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE

Its the electronic shift control located just under the battery ontop the transmission replace or repair will solve the issue

it'll go into drive but once it reaches 1500 rpm it'll drop into neutral as a safety because at this rpm it is being told to shift gear and when it fails to do so it safely goes into neutral

it will go into reverse just fine and park and you can run all the low drive gears until you reach 1500 rpm then it'll cut it off

i pulled mine out re soldered bad components on the board to fix it but im an electronics engineer it may be easier for you to just replace it

Have a 2005 Jeep Liberty. After starting from a

The flashing light indicates you have a big misfire that could damage the catalytic converter.. Being you were going uphill (under high load) this would indicate an ignition issue. You may have a bad coil or wires or a bad spark plug. The reason you could only go 30mph was because the computer was put in limp mode. This is a stratagy to prevent excessive damage to components. , Get it checked out ASAP
