Read and reset buttons not working

With the ignition off
Push the 00/set button located in the center of your instrument cluster. While holding down the button turn ignition to on. Release the button and then press it one more time and hold it for 10 seconds it should reset. When it resets turn ignition to off I release the button

Two ways that I know of. Works on lots of make and models.
1 turn the key on, slowly press the fuel/gas pedal three times within five seconds. The light should flash, then sop or go out, turn the key off, It's reset.
2 Push in the trip reset on the dash, turn the key on, it will flash then stop. release the trip button, Turn the key off, It's reset.

If this doesnt work theres a reset tool you can buy at most auto part stores $25-$40

1. • 1 Turn your key to position 2 to power on the battery or turn the key all the way to start the engine on. Either option will allow you to reset the service indicator.
     
   • 2 Press either of the two buttons on the left side of your steering wheel featuring arrows pointing to the left and right to find the menu displaying the mileage. The menu options will appear on the screen underneath the speedometer.
     
   • 3 Press either the up or down arrow button until you see the service symbol displayed.
     
   • 4 Press the trip odometer reset button on the left side of the instrument panel for three seconds until the menu asks, "Do you want to reset the service interval? Confirm with the R-button."
     
   • 5 Press the trip odometer reset button again to complete the reset process.

Turn igniton to on position and put odometer in trip mode, turn off ignition.

Hold trip button in and hold it in as you turn ignition to on position, it will flash

Turn off ignition.

Maintenance light should go and stay off

put the odometer on trip a turn the ignition off then hold in the trip button while turning the ignition to the on position then you will see 5 ----- count to zero thats all there is to it if this doesnt work read the owners manual

there are two types of displays heres both.hope this helps.for base instrument cluster.
1) press and release trip/reset button until setup menu hold reset displayed
2)press & hold trip/reset untilreset for sys check or sys check hold reset is displayed
3)release trip/reset button
4)press and release trip to scroll until hold reset if new oil is displayed
5)press and hold resetuntil oil life set to 100% and let button go you are done.
if you have a message center dash display then do this one. 1)push and release setup button until you see press reset to begin (2)press& release reset button until hold resetif new oil is displayed.(3)press and hold reset for 2secondsuntiloil set to 100%. done. hope this helps.

Here's how you reset your maintenance light.

To reset the light,
Turn the ignition on
Make sure the odometer displays "ODO"
1.Turn the key off
2.Press and hold down the same button you use to get to "ODO"
3.Turn the key back to ON ( while still holding down the button)
4.Hold the button in until all the flashing lines on the odometer go away and the bunch of "000000" shows up and the maint reset light will turn off.
Your'e done.

If this doesn't work, you would have to try it on "trip A" instead of "ODO".

the only one i know of is when you change the oil ,it still reads on dash service insp only agent can remove this. hope this helps

I have an 08. set odometer to main odometer reading, not trip a or trip b. Turn ignition off. Press odometer button down and turn ignition key. You wait 5 seconds while the read out on odometer counts down and resets.
