there are a few diodes in the electrical system that have been blown.  Some are in the dash and some are in the different control modules in the car.  Your insurance should pay for this problem.

SOURCE: My remote in my keys no longer work to unlock my doors or trunk

Most likely: You have to now "reprogram"your key fob and car to recognize each other. Look in your User's Manual for the car or, if it's an aftermarket fob/lock system, look in the user's manual for that. If there's nothing about battery replacement/reprogramming procedures, and it's a factory system, head into a dealer to reprogram it. It could run you up to $120, but that's cheaper than buying a new fob or system. If it's and aftermarket system and the manual says nothing, go to the place you had it installed (repair facility, Future Shop, etc) and have them reprogram it. If they installed it, they should know how to reprogram it.

Keep in mind, that's only the most likely option. Another possibility is that the receiver in the car, transmitter in the remote, or lock actuators/relays, etc in the car are the issue. It may not have been batteries in the first place at all. That said, it was most likely the batteries, and your best bet is trying to figure out how to reprogram the fob and car to recognize each other.

I have a 2001 monster Carlo 3.4, was driving and car was running fine all the sudden started losing speed and went to pull off free way and it died. Won't start, Silence when I try to start it.

IF you try to start it and turn the key and get NOTHING. The most likely cause of everything is: The alternator died and quit charging the battery. The battery died while you were driving because there was no alternator charging it. When the battery died, all the ignition signals stopped.

Hi i bought a vw beetle was running fine the last few days. I went to drive it yesterday and it wont start the immobiliser is showing its not flashing tho. My step dad replaced the car keys battery the day...

My immobiliser keeps flashing until I put the key in the ignition and then it stops. Normally changing key batteries has a period that if the battery is changed inside that time (say 5 minutes) then the key program will not loose memory Run fault codes to see if there is a problem in the electronics. Otherwise you may have to take the car to the dealer to have the key reprogrammed to the cpu in the car

I would say that you need to replace the alternator. The car was running on the batteries power. When you drove the car, it ran the battery completely dead.

When I turn the key, I can hear the engine trying to start, but nothing happens. This started yesterday, I was driving home on the interstate when my car suddenly just decelerated and stopped. I couldn't...

the engine did not die because of a defective starter. either some mechanical or electrical component has gone awry, or you ran out of gas. putting a new battery and/or starter in a car with a dead engine will not cause the engine to start.

you need to have someone with some mechanical knowledge take an actual look at it. someone over the internet cannot diagnose nor divine which of the many components has malfunctioned causing the car to quit.
