Is this light on all the time or just when there is something/someone in the seat? usually if there is below a certain weight in the seat the airbag wont deploy, something like 100lbs? although im not sure about this weight in mercedes. if i place something heavy such as a bag on the seat in my bmw the dashboard light comes on. not sure if this helps?

How do you turn off the passenger side front airbag?

Thi syear and model uses what is called a "Smart Airbag System" what this means is that the SRS system has a weight sensor in the passenger seat cushion, unless the object or passenger (a child) is more than 50 pounds the airbag is automatically turned off on the passenger side. There is no other switch.

The airbag light in dash staying on in my 2004

Under driver and passenger seats are wires that go to seat belt anchors. These are tensioner wires.Unplug the wires from the plug under the seat.clean and replace.Doing this while the ignition is turned off. Then turn ignition back on.In 90% of the time this is your problem.Constant movement of seat causes this or rear passengers kicking plugs off.Good luck phil.

2004 pacifica impact sensors, airbags

you may not always have to replace sensors, but you will have to change the airbag module (usually under front seat, sometimes in middle of dash) To remove the passenger airbag you have to take out the dash.

Airbag module location for 2004 Mazda6

it is positioned in the very centre of the dash board, behind the radio/Air con unit, it is bolted to the floor, you will need to remove the dash board and possibly the air con unit to access. once the module and air bags have been replaced it shouldnt need anything else.

2004 mercedes 320E - how to replace left front airbag?

Hi Rafal Joe here to help, There are two torx head screws on the back of the steering wheel. It takes a special Mercedes Benz tool to do so. After removal there are airbag connectors that need to be removed. Be careful not to break them, They are plastic.
