I would say that the bearing has failed and the unit should be replaced . If you have a viscous fan hub the problem may be there or if you have the fan directly on the water pump I would be checking the pump bearing for failure

SOURCE: the fan blade is loose & wobbles on the shaft on my dodge dakota

Fix it now or forever pick up the pieces...You have one of two problems possibly both...The fan clutch that the fan is bolted to has a bad bearing. replace it Or, the bearing in the water pump has failed. again...replace it. If fan clutch failed carefully check pump ...shaft bearing can be damaged by wobbling assembly. Seriously...don't ignore this if fan gets loose,it will damage far more than the problem you now have!!!
good luck!!

SOURCE: 1995 honda accord ex auxiliary cooling fan not engaging

The accy fan you are refurring to is actually the a/c consensor fan.The only time that fan operates is with the cycling of the a/c system.Verify by turning a/c on ,fan should come on & off with a/c cycles..

Can I replace the fan clutch on a 2005 colorado with reg fan blade

Let the vehicle run at approx 2000 rpm (standing still) and check the heatgauge. When the needle gets near the max mark you sould be able to feel the fan blowing air. Switch off the vehicle and feel if the fan is solid or not. You can use a standard blade, will have very small effect on feul consumption and power.

My 2000 camry engine shakes when idling

my 2000 camry also shakes when idling. Looks like the radiator fan is culprit, but havent had time to change out yet. looks like old blades on fan broke off making it unbalanced when spinning to cool off causing excessive shaking. When driving its cool enough where that particular fan motor does not need to spin, therefore no shaking. possible solution is replace the fan that is wobbling.

Water pump making noises and too much play on fan blade housing.

it sounds like the bearing in your water pump is going bad and causing the fan to wobble, you will have to replace the water pump as soon as you can, because you don't want the fan blade to break loose from pump and damage the radiator.

I have a 91 ply acclaim it over heats when in idle and when i stop i dont know why.

You may have a loose fan/water pump belt, a defective cluch fan, or a bad water pump, all these factor in to the reason why when you drive it doesnt over heat.
You see as you are driving the cool air is being forced through the radiator coils/fins and keeping the heat off the coolant in your radiator closed system cool thus no over heating, when you stop this principal theory stops as well and the water becomes hotter with nothing driving it through the radiator fins/veins to cool it off thus...over heating.
Check the belts first for being loose rotted or worn and repair as needed, next engine off of course grab the fan blades one hand on three o clock blade and other hand grasping 9 o clock blade and apply a pull sort of side to side movement to check if the clutch fan or the water pump has excessive side to side play, if so replace both parts that show signs of this side to side wobble/wear.
Be sure to top off any coolant that may have spilled out during operations of your engine.
Hope this helps, good luck!!

2003 ram 3.7 l overheating. Water pump, thermostat, coolant are new but still overheating

Check for possible air flow restriction to the radiatior. Anything stuck in the cooling fins to cause a blockage. Also check the cooling fan to see if it is working properly. To check the fan (while engine is cold) turn the blades on fan, if the blades do not turn freely then the fan is at fault.Grasp the fan on both sides and rock the fan checking for any excessive bearing play (wobble). To check the fan after the truck has warmed up, turn the ignition off andd disconnect negative wire from battery. Turn the fan by hand, some resistance should be felt. If the fan turnes easily, replace the fan. Hope this will help you.

Fan clutch is wobbly and making a noice

You should replace the fan clutch. Unbolt it from the water pump and pull cluth and fan out together. Unbolt fan blade making note of blade angles, so you install it right on new clutch. Bolt fan on new clutch and reinstall unit. When the clutch has play or wobbles it is time to replace it before it breaks off and goes thru the radiator.
