How to reset service message on volvo s80
2002-2007 All Volvo Models
(For all vehicles 2003- a general yellow lamp will light when the reset button must be released.)
Unhook the battery for at least 10 seconds. This should do the trick, otherwise you would need the OBD II diagnosis software and a computer which I have but it gets spendy. If the message comes back after unhooking the battery then you need to "buck up" and take it to the dealer for diagnosis.

Install remote/key into socket. Push and hold trip button on instrument cluster with all doors shut. Push start button one time for key position one while holding trip button and count to five. keep holding trip button and hit start button to key position two where all the warning lites come on the instrument cluster while still holding trip button. Count to around ten and triangular warning lite should flash. Release button and remove key and then start engine. May take a few attempts to reset this lite.

just unhook the battery for about 20 minutes. if you have an anti-theft radio make sure you know the code and how to enter it.

Try removing the battery for half an hour or so and then reconnecting (check you have all your radio codes etc before you do this).
