On a 2002 mustang it is the reservoir for brake fluid. The fluid level should not be high enough to leak. One way to get too much is if someone adds fluid to the reservoir because the level is low. Its normal for the level to go down as the brake pads wear. The piston pushing on the brake pad requires more fluid to force the brake pad into the brake rotor as the pad wears. If you put more fluid in and later replace your brake pads, the pistons must be pushed back to their original position to install the new pads. Pushing back on the pistons causes a backflow of fluid to the reservoir. Since you added more fluid earlier there is now too much and it can overflow. If this is your problem you can bleed out excess fluid. The valve to bleed the fluid is down behind the wheel near the brake pad calipers.

Location of the knock senser on the Pontiac G6 2006 2.4liter

The sensor is located on the front of the engine, under the intake manifold to the right. It's to the left of the oil filter housing above the starter. The electrical connector is clipped to the oil dipstick tube.

Where is the low side a/c service port located?

Hi, the low-pressure service port is on the line that goes from the firewall to the compressor. There should be a blue or black threaded cap on it. Just unscrew the cap and you're ready to add refrigerant.

Hwo do you add transmission fluid to a pontiac g6

On the drivers side on top of the transmission, there is a red cap. Twist it off and you can fill it that way. You have to be careful though, because the only way to check the level is from underneath the car. There is no dipstick. Next to the oil drain plug, on the transmission, there is an 11mm bolt. This is the check plug. Run the vehicle to operating temperature and carefully remove the screw. You will know the transmission is full when the fluid dribbles out of the check plug.

Where is the dipstick for tranmittion, dont have a manual and cant find where we are losing water

there isnt one. there is a screw with a hex head on the rear of the transmission just above the transmission oil pan. when you take out the screw the oil will just start to drip out. to add trans fluid on the drivers side under the hood you will see a large black tube that comes off the engine. look just below that down into the engine toward the ground and you will see a red cap about 2 inches in diameter it says transmission fluid on it. you just unscrew it. you will need a long funnel or you will spill

Location of oil filter on a 2007 pontiac g6

Oil filter location for a 2007 Pontiac G6. First open and lift the front hood of car. Its some what right from center on the engine about 9 inches from the radiator. All you will see is a black cap with black plastic nut in the center. You will have to buy a special tool to attach to your socket wrench to remove the cap. Turn it counter clockwise to remove it. Inside is a filter attached to a plastic part and rubber o - ring. The filter is NOT enclosed in a metal casing. Remember how it is positioned as you take it out. Pull off the old filter. Remove the old o - ring. Place new o - ring in place. Place new filter on plastic part and place it back inside the engine. Make sure it is placed in the same way it came out. Screw on plastic cap by hand most of the way. The tighten with special tool and socket wrench clockwise, but not too tight. This is now complete. Now you can drain out the old oil from the oil pan underneath the car. Remove hex screw with long wrench for more leverage. One to 2 hours later place hex screw back in by hand and tighten with wrench. Now add about 4 1/2 quarts of 5W30 oil only. Check oil level on dip stick. Add more oil if necessary. Job complete!!!

Transmission fluid for 2007 pontiac G6 GT

This car does not have a auto trans dipstick, the level can only be checked by the dealer, this is a growing trend that started with most German cars, the filter is inside the trans pan and only needs changing every 60,000 miles.
