You need to bypass the alarm if you do not have the remote to disable it and the key lock fell out. I have posted multiple times about how to bypass the stock alarm and still have everything work. If you need any help on doing this please feel free to message me.

you should be able to turn off alarm via key in drivers door if not test all doors to make sure they unlock. if any door will not lock that door latch will need replaced if work ok then try disarming alarm from trunk key or from the passanger door. if that works, you may need to have the key recoded to the car.

SOURCE: How do I disalarm my 1997 VW Cabrio Alarm?

I have a similiar problem occasionally. In my 97 vw, it usually happens when the battery terminals are loose. I just take them off, clean them and reconnect and the problem goes away for several months.

First, try to disable the alarm using the key in the truck lock. If that doesn't work....
You should be able to pull the lock cylinder out of the handle using the key. Insert the key, then gently twist and pull. Once the lock cyl is out, be careful when you remove the key in order to keep the keying blades in the right order. Once out, do whatever you can to knock the remainder of the lock cylinder mechanism loose, use a very narrow screwdriver or the like, and keep going until you can look through the hole with a flashlight and see a slot in a white plastic circular piece. Then use a flat head screwdriver to unlock the door, after the battery has been reconnected.
The parts to fix the lock cylinder are cheap, and well worth replacing. The door handle is held in place by a single bolt, should be a t30 torx. Remove the bolt then work the handle loose.
It will be difficult to reassemble corrrectly without having done it previously but you may be able to find images on the internet to help you.

If you don't have the remote then its pretty much useless. I have seen at Pep Boys where they sell replacements for the factory/dealer installed alarms. Or just remove the alarm completely and reconnect everything the way it was.
Without knowing what brand alarm it is a person cannot honestly answer how to disarm it as they all work differently.
If you know a brand and model you may be able to find downloadable instruction on the manufactures web site.

More than likely you have broken wires in the drivers door harness. In the area between the door and the body there is a rubber boot. Pull the boot back and take a look at the wires. You should easily see if any are broken. The best idea is to replace the whole harness, but individual wires can be spliced back together.
To start the car try disarming the alarm using the key in the passenger door or truck lock cylinder.

My battery went dead, and now that i try to jump start the vehicle, the alarm goes off and will not turn off. I cannot start the car at all

If this is an after market alarm, an alarm that was installed by someone other than a dealer there will be an in-line fuse under hood on the main power wire leading to the alarm horn. Usually along the firewall. Remove this fuse and you should be able to start the vehicle. The problem you are experiencing is the anti theft or ignition kill switch being activated because the alarm is detecting the lose of power as a Surge and triggering the anti theft circuit.

The car alarm goes off and won't allow the car to crank. I had a window replaced in the drivers door and the automatic locks don't work what can I do. do i need a code to reset the alarm

whomever replaced the window removed the alarm harness. have the panel removed and check that the alarm harness is still attached to the back of the lock cylinder, Also you may try to unlock the car from the passenger side to disarm the alarm.
