96 subaru no power to the master window switch

Hi, I cannot get power to the master window switch. Have jumped power from the battery to the switch and all windows work fine. Also jumped power to the end on the inside of the car everything works there so it's not the wires running through the door. Cannot seem to find a fuse, circit breaker, or relay to test. Any ideas?

Look under passnger seat and carpet this where the circuit breaker is located most likely you'll find a corroded solder joint 6-8 inches away from it,good luck

Wher is the power window relay for 1996 s-10 truck

Your problem is likely in the master switch on the driver side. Try getting a drivers door switch from the junkyard. I have a 96 Silhouette that I experienced the same problem with. After changing out the motor, and the passenger switch I finally traced it to the master switch. Power goes to the drivers door switch first and then over to the passenger door. It could actually be both switches. A bad relay would affect both windows not just the one side.

1995 subaru legacy L wagon. drivers side master power window switch stopped working. others work fine. how do I track down the exact problem. it's not a fuse.

You just did. Its the master switch. Buy a switch from a large parts store, use a flat tip screwdriver to remove switch then install new switch. This should take you about 20 mins. Super Easy

Subaru 2000 outback power window driver's side

Hi there,
Very simple. Only one of a few things. First off. Push the up and down switch, listen, if there is a humming sound, your actuator may be fine. You window may be off track. If it is not off track, and there is a humming sound, then it may be the master switch. They are not that expensive. If it is not the master switch, the only other two things it could be is the up/down button or the connectors under the button. I hope that helped you out. Good luck and let me know. Have a great day.~MWD
