Abs light comes on does this mean the alternator is bad?

The battery light is for the charging system , battery not being charged ! Alternator may have brushes going bad or a diode ! Or lose wiring . ABS light could be coming on because of low power (VOLTAGE) Control modules don't like low voltage . I suggest you take an have it tested !

The battery symbol comes on because there is a problem with the charging system ! It doesn't mean you have a bad battery ! The charging system in this vehicle is controlled by the PCM - powertrain control module ! could be a bad alternator , wiring problem or a blown fuse. An it takes special tools to test, scan tool ,digital volt ohm meter !

Usually the battery light means the alternator is not charging the battery. The ABS light means there is a problem with the ABS brake system which may include the normal hydraulic brake system.
On import cars the warning lights can be connected even if only one system is having an issue.

Take the car to a local Autozone and have the Alternator tested, it is free. Also when the "Battery" light comes on it doesn't mean there is a problem with the battery persay it means the battery is not getting charged up while you drive.

ABS is voltage sensitive, so will not work when alternator is not charging. Possible causes are fan belt, alternator or wiring connections.ABS will reset once alternator is repaired and car driven a short distance.

I doubt you can buy the parts to rebuild the alternator. Take it off and have it tested at your local parts store. If it's bad, ask them what options they offer.

IF RELAY AND FUSE OKAY.MAKE SURE YOUR ALTERNATOR VOLTAGE OUT PUT AT BATTERY SHOULD BE 13.5 TO 14.5 VOLTS IF 11.0 VOLTS DUE TO VOLTAGE REGULATOR FAILURE. THAT WILL CAUSE ABS AND TRAC LIGHT TO COME ON.IF ALTERNATOR CHECKS OUT OKAY.TAKE VECHICLE TO GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP THEY HAVE TO SCAN THE ABS BRAKE SYSTEM.

CHECK ALTERNATOR OUTPUT IT SHOULD BE 13.5 TO 14.5 VOLTS WITH ENGINE RUNNING.IF VOLTAGE LOWER 12 VOLTS THAT WILL CAUSE BRAKE AND ANTI LOCK BRAKE LIGHTS TO COME ON BECAUSE THAT NOT ENOUGH POWER FOR ABS BRAKES OPERATION.IF ALTERNATOR GOOD.BRAKE AND ABS LIGHTS ON ALSO MEANS LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL.ALSO. YOU HAVING BRAKE FAILURE.YOU NEED TO HAVE GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP CHECK BRAKES SYSTEM.BEFORE BRAKES COMPLETELY FAIL.

sounds like your alternator is not charging. abs light could be a low voltage code, blower off- i'm not sure. possibly a power surge which could have blown the blower motor relay. never seen that happen but i suppose it could be possible. are you sure the the battery light is not on? red light that looks like a rectangle? battery light on means bad alternator.
