Right on the instrument cluster glass there should be the odometer button and a rectangular slot if there is a slot slid your key into it, don't worry if your key doesn't go all the way in its not supposed to.

SOURCE: Maintenance required light is on. 1996 Honda Accord

Simple way to check if anything goes wrong is to go to Autozone store (if you are in US) and scan for trouble codes (if there are any of them). They do it free of charge. If you get any codes you can get the explanation of them here

SOURCE: Maintenance light is blinking for a while in 2005 honda accord

To reset your light do the following:

1-Push maintence reminder button in and hold it in. (thats the button near the speedo on the insturment cluster)
2-Turn the ignition to the on position while holding button in.
3-Wait several seconds until the light goes out, then let go of the button.
It is now reset

Now this is the maintaince light and not the check engine light correct? If then just follow above and do that.

Also if you don't use Fram oil filters you can go 5000miles on your oil and be safe. Even honda says you can do 7000miles but 5000 gives you a buffer if you need to go over.

SOURCE: How reset service interval light (already changed oil, oil filter, etc)

the service interval "light " has nothing to do with emissions or a problem with the car . There is a rectangle slot on the dash cluster you just use your key and press it and it just resets the counter

SOURCE: reset maintenance light

If I remember correctly, on the dash you have a select button. Hold the button down then turn the key on, until the maintenance light blinks and goes out. Turn the key off then back on and your light should be out.

2010 HONDA FIT BASE ORANGE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON AND OIL IS FINE? WHY IS THE LIGHT ON THEN?

Your mechanic did not reset the maintenance indicator on the last oil change. You just need to reset the maintenance light.

Why does my honda accord 1999 model 2.3L engine show the sign "maintainance required on the dash board?

More than likely it's a reminder for the oil change. Easy fix:
With the key out, hold down the reset button on your odometer, put the key in, and turn the car on while still holding the button down. Wait until the Maintenance Required light goes off, probably about 30 seconds or so, and then turn it off and remove the key and your finger from the button. Restart the car, it should flash once (as it always does) and then stay off.
Try any combo, your 99 may be different than my 01, but shouldn't be very much. Good luck!

Maintenance required light just came on and I have

1. Turn off the engine. The car should not be running when performing these steps.
2. Press and hold the select/reset knob. This knob is located on the instrument panel. It will be sticking out on the bottom right of instrument panel. It's the same knob that is used to reset the trip mileage or change what is displayed in the mileage/temperature box.
3.While holding the knob, turn the ignition switch (the key) to on (II) position. Continue holding the knob for approximately 10 seconds. The MAINT REQ'D light should turn off.

Wondering how to reset maintenance light on a 2005 Honda Accord

Look in the owner's manual. It has it in there how to reset it. Usually it just has to do with selecting the oil quantity select and holding it down....or cycling the ignition a few times. Check your manual though....it will have it in there.

Maintence required on red

Maintenance Required is a light that comes on after a predetermined number of miles. For example, if the maintenance schedule Honda set for the car calls for an oil change at 3000 miles, a new fan belt at 6000 miles, and another oil change at 9000 miles, then the maintenance required light will come on every 3000 miles and stay on until it is reset by the dealer. Some people, especially those that do their own regular maintenance but don't have a way to reset the light themselves, find this an annoyance. But others find it useful and take their cars in to the dealer every time the light comes on, and they rest assured that all of the regular maintenance is always done on time.

What this light does NOT do however is signal that there is anything immanently wrong with your car. It is not a "Check Engine" light (that's the one you should worry about if it ever comes on), but merely a reminder for you to do preventative maintenance. That doesn't mean you should *ignore* it, per se, as you want to make sure you have your car on some kind of maintenance schedule, even if yours is not as strict as Honda's. But there is no need to panic.
