You will have to look it up in your manual as to which one specifically but if you do not have your manual you can do a one by one check. It will be a bigger one.

SOURCE: 89 firebird blows fuse that powers fuel pump and ecm?

That joint & where wires separate, would be a good spot to use a clamp on amp meter, if you have, or know someone who has one, then you could get reading on each one, and zero in on one(s) with most draw.

SOURCE: cooling fan fuse

most likely the cooling fan has a short in it. disconnect the connector on the fan. If it doesn't blow now its the fan motor. If it still blows you have a short from the fuse to the motor. What this means is the hot wire is touching bare metal somewhere

The battery is new the alternator is good but the battery is dying

Your alternator has a fusible link coming from the battery to the alternator, fuse probably is blown. The link is in a box next to the battery.

Why is the brake light and the battery light on the dash

When this happens, there is no charging system voltage (from the alternator). Several possible causes

1. Alternator's regulator has stopped working
2. Alternator fuse (100 to 120 amp) is blown (at battery post or inside Fuse/Relay box under the hood)
3. Wiring between alternator & battery &/or fuse/relay box.

Has a new battery and altenator, still won't keep a charge. It wil run for a while then quits.

Mitsubishi uses a square block fuse for its alternator . Usually it is under the hood in the fuse box , sometimes it is part of the positive battery clamp. If this fuse blows even though the battery is good and the alternator is working perfectly, the battery will discharge and the charge light on the dash will not tell you. You will drive until the battery goes dead and the car stops. Take a flash light and check all the fuses under the hood till you find the block fuse for the alternator. If it is blown , replace it and your problem should be solved. It is real easy to blow the fuse if you short the power at the back of the alternator to ground ( an alternator installation, where the battery cable is not unhooked).

The power steering on these vehicles is all electric, NOT belt driven. It is possible that the fuse could be faulty, but the more likely cause is a faulty power steering pump. If you have a lift rack the pump is fairly easy to change. There is a diagram of all the fuses you will have any questions about under that dash of your vehicle, either the left or right side. Left is on the kick panel, right is on the dashboard. Good luck.

Is there a fuse in car or under hood that would stop the battery charging system fro working in 98 lincoln town car

yes there is a fuse, labeled alt fuse and its under the hood in the relay fusebox, if the car is not charging, then just check for power to the alternator, the small wire not the big one, good luck,
