ABS warning light stays on

One of your wheel sensors are defective. Have a mechanic troubleshoot it. You can still drive without the ABS. Your regular brakes will still work.

2006 Town & Country ABS light stays on

when the abs light comes on your car is letting you know that it has shut down the abs system because of a problem. so you are braking with regular conventional brakes which is perfectly safe. any time a component of the antilock brake system malfuntions the abs system is shut off and the light will come on to let you know. the most common problem is that the wheel speed sensors go bad. a trouble code will be stored in the abs control module you can have the abs module scanned to see what the problem may be. But dont worry you car is safe to drive. you just dont have the antilock brake option.

Abs light on

Get your abs checked out. If you want, check it yourself on an empty street, just be ready to have a dead spot on your tires if your not quick.

drive as at a decent speed where allowed (5 mph should be good) and floor the breaks... If your abs works, then you need to find out why the light is on. If they dont work, then you know that something is wrong with the ABS module in your car and also need to get it checked out.

Listen to the car... if it tells you somethings wrong (ie- lights on the dash..) usually something is.

Happy Hunting.
