Ok tell me this is the pedal stuck all the down on the e-brake. If so if you look under the dash on the e-brake follow the pedal and you can see where it locks and all yo have to do is press pedal and with a screw driver release lock on the pedal. Good luck

SOURCE: brake light switch

In the 04 models there has been a recall on a part in the brake lights. You can look it up and it gives you a number to call GMC. If you truck is one of the affected models they will replace it for you.

SOURCE: I replaced my brake rotors on a 2004 gmc canyon

IF you installed the wrong brake rotors, without the ABS reluctor ring[if equipped],the light will come on.Second possibility is you damaged the ABS wiring to the wheel speed sensor. There is a harness to each wheel.

2006 gmc canyon rear brake line plug from master cylinder size thread ?

You mean the brake line flare nuts on the end of the lines? I see nothing that looks like a 'plug'. You buy the lines ready made or you have them made a garage, using a brake line flare tool set. eBay sells them ready made.

hello,
If the frt brakes are locked up then it could be any of the following, master cylinder is bad, frt brake lines are at fault the flexible rubber part that goes to the calipers, or the calipers themselves could be frozen and are not able to release when you let off the brake pedal.

Emergency brake won t release

Stuck mechanism or damaged parking brake cable. Start by troubleshooting the mechanism under the dashboard, and move backwards to the rear brakes. It is possible that one of your adjustors in back has rusted out.

Hi, I'm trying to change the rotors on a 2006 GMC Canyon and we can't seem to get the piece in front of the rotor off. Is there a schematic for them?

Is the piece you are referring to the piece that holds the brake pads? If so there should be two larger head bolts behind that piece that holds it on to the front axle.

check your fuses. If it quit working immediately after the recall work then you need to take it back and make them fix it.
