Sounds like the horn has packed up ?? could be wrong but try a test wire to it see if it still works

SOURCE: My 2002 Nissan Pathfinder's car horn for the alarm stop working.

Just hold the lock and unlock button on your key until you hear the horn again. Then its activated :)

I asked a frend about your problem and he said there isnt one, he said when you use the clicker, your moveing away from the car, so you get an audable sound to let you now it's working, when you use the key your at the car and you now whats happening.

there is an aftermarket alarm installed. pull the fuses and it will solve your problem. the vehicle should be capable of having remmotes if it has power locks

If the horn fuse ( Fuse #26 ) is installed and has power on both sides of the fuse, you might want to check that the horn connector is still on the horns.

The horn relay is not serviceable in the fuse panel.

You can test the horn connector for power, the Yellow w/ Light Green wire, when the horn button is pressed.

Do 2005 chrysler 300 base come with an alarm system.

lock the doors from the switch with the door open. That turns the included factory alarm on.
