All dash lights should light with the key on/engine off

ALL dash lights should go out when the engine is running

If you have ANY Light lite, you have a possible system failure
& check for codes,diagnose them,component test & resolve

You can google your codes or Stabilitrac & read up

Read your owners manual

2009 GMC Sierra 5.3. What could be the cause of my Stabilitrack going on and off for no reason and making my truck run bad?

Question edited for clarity.

You need a good auto electrican with a $5,000 pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose. Your issues are electrically caused, not mechanical. 'Local mechanics' don't buy the fancy scanners.

2013 equinox stabilitrack. changed front brake rotor and pads and the stabilitrack wont let car turn on.

Stabilitrack can't prevent engine from starting. You have other issues preventing start up.

The StabiliTrack warning light and the StabiliTrack stay on

When I had the same thing happen on my 2010 Equinox- One of the ABS sensors had a spot on the wiring that had rubbed thru and one of the wires was shorting. The sensor needed replacing- Check all your ABS sensors and wiring. The Stabilitrack monitors the wheel speed through the ABS sensors- therefore if they are not working properly then it will not work properly. (My ABS light was NOT on in this issue)

With the stabilitrack and TCS lights on, why won't car start?

Because something else is wrong with the engine.
Do you have spark and fuel ?
Does the check engine light come on when you turn the key on ?
And what is the make model and year ?

2007 Tahoe LTZ check engine light and stabilitrack light went on and lost acceleration. Pulled over, shut off the engine for 5 mins then restarted, then a horrific engine click/clank when I rev the engine...

The engine noise is not related to the stabilitrack. Stabilitrack is usually caused by a bad wheel sensor. Get the trouble codes read to find out exactly what's going on. Which engine do you have?

Left the keys in the ignition adn had AAA jump it. Now the T/C with a slash through it came on and the light that says low engine power. The car starts really rough and has no power when u drive it. WHats...

T/C light = Traction Control

Could be something going on with a wheel speed sensor. You'll have to have the ABS/TCS controller scanned for any stored trouble codes to see why the controller is turning on the light. The code(s) might help you to determine what part of the system is faulting. You'll have to take it to a shop that has a high end scan tool.

If the TC light is on, chances are there is a trouble code set and stored in the computer. You need to determine what the code is. If you take the car to a nationally recognized parts store, most will scan the computer for free, so there is no money out of pocket for you.

Actron also makes a ABS code checker called BrakeScan. Don't know how good it is, but it might be good for a DIY person.

TC Explanation:

If your vehicle is equipped with the Enhanced Traction System (ETS), this warning light should come on briefly as you start the engine. If the warning light does not come on, then have it fixed so it will be ready to warn you if there is a problem.
If the warning light stays on, or comes on when you are driving, there may be a problem with your Enhanced Traction System and your vehicle may need service. When this warning light is on, the system will not limit wheel spin. Adjust your driving accordingly.
The Enhanced Traction System warning light may come on for the following reasons:
• If you turn the system off by moving the shift lever to FIRST (1), the warning light will come on and stay on. To turn the system back on, move the shift lever back to a position other than FIRST (1). The warning light should go off. • The warning light will come on when you set your parking brake with the engine running, and it will stay on if your parking brake does not release fully. If the transaxle shift lever is in any position other than FIRST (1) and the warning light stays on after your parking brake is fully released, it means there is a problem with the system. • If the traction control system is affected by an engine-related problem, the system will turn off and the warning light will come on. If the Enhanced Traction System warning light comes on and stays on for an extended period of time when the transaxle shift lever is in any position other than FIRST (1), your vehicle needs service.

1997 camry all warning lights on for a while

Just tell them of the smell. They will start by checking all fluids to see if any are low. And do a visual inspection to look for stains or whatever the smell was from. Do you know what a bad catalytic converter smells like? It is described as sulfurous, like rotten eggs smell. This part is in the exhaust piping, and used to clean pollutants from the exhaust.
Now about those warning lights in your dash: those red lights are supposed to always come on when the key is turned to on and then to start. They turn on with key on, and then soon as engine starts (or right after-within a couple of seconds) the warning lights should all turn off. So I'm not sure if you just hadn't noticed them before, or what. Do they seem to stay on for an extended period of time? The only reason a red light would stay on after engine starts, would be a warning that something not right. (Like if the "dripping oil" light would stay on, that is a danger, cause that is your engine oil pressure. If that light stays on, you lost oil pressure, and meaning shut engine off immediately before damage occurs.)
So the warning lights come on as a visual check that those bulbs are good, just in case a warning is needed. Then engine starts and all warning lights should go off. See? Good luck, probably not a big problem, but good you check it out.
