I am getting codes P0135 and P0341 on my 02 VW Jetta, the car wont run, what would cause this?

The car wont go, the engine runs so roughly, I replaced the coil pack because of several misfire codes, it did not help but the misfire codes went away, I recently replaced the water pump which is timing belt driven three weeks later the car stopped running properly, could the timing belt slip cause these codes P0135 and P0341?

Code p0135 refers to a HO2S sensor 1 bank 1 heater control ---circuit malfunction- ===causes ---fuse --wiring and sensor
the other code p0341 would point to your problem It refers to camshaft position sensor(CMP) sensor A bank 1 --range / performance problem===causes --insecure sensor /rotor---air gap---wiring - CMP sensor
check that the rotor is fixed properly , that there is no dirt in the air gap and adjust the air gap. If it still plays up replace the sensor.

SOURCE: 1994 Cougar XR7 Engine idling rough and running rough at low and

Not saying this for sure, but I had the same problem, and i have a 1994 xr7 V6 3.8 L , and all u need to do is set the idle down manually because your computer could have seen that the injector was stuck open, and tried to turn up idle to keep up with the amount of fuel being pumped, worth a shot :P

2001 vw jetta Trouble code p0135 culd the thermostat cus this code

Hi. this code refers to the lambda probe heater circuit. This will need a new sensor if the wiring tests good. If the fault still returns, then replace the engine ecu. ( some control units did have a software update to fix this, but this would have to be done at a dealership) I have found thatthe units I have updated still needed the lambda probe.

2000 Volkswagen Jetta VR6 Running Rough Code P1215

P1215- cyl 3 fuel inj circ short to B+

Run a resistance check on injecter #3. should be something like 15-20 ohms, or at least in the neighborhood. Better yet check a few others you might be able to get at, just be sure there's no way to mix up the connecters. If # 3 is different from the others you found your issue

Replacing mass air flow sensor in 97 vw jetta

If the mass flow sensor was bad, the check engine light should of came on giving off an engine code. To remove the mass flow, disconnect battery neg cable, then pull of the wire harness and pull out mass. You will probably have to remove the air intake hose.

2000 VW Jetta VR6 My check engine light started flashing. My car was idleing very rough and missing. The parts store checked and the code showed misfire 1. We replaced the spark plugs. It runs a little...

You may have a bad coil pack - try moving two of them around and see if the misfire follows the coil pack or stays at the same cylinder. If it follows the coil pack, get a new one. If it stays in the same cylinder, inspect your spark plug wires and make sure the plug is gapped correctly.

2002 VW Jetta... I almost ran out of gas... Made it to gas station , but my car started running rough... I put gas in car and it still idels rough

I had the same problem, it ended up being a fuel level sensor, if you run the car at low fuel level numerous times it goes bad. I had it replaced and runs great.
