I can take the fan and wiggle it up and down. The 2006 Envoy is over heating before I get a mile away from home

cedricponce7, Your fan is connected to your water pump. If you can wiggle it then the bearings in the pump are bad. When the engine is cold open the radiator cap and see if there is any coolant in there. Chances are the radiator is very low. Fill the radiator with water and see if the bottom of the pump leaks. If it does then you have to replace the water pump. Drain the cooling system and refill with the proper coolant. Good luck with this.

Change water pump 6.6 ltr duramax

not too bad of a job, pull the fan and dampner. ive heard of guys saying they can do it without pulling the dampner (i dont know how?) it doesnt take long to get it off. dont put a cheap w/p back in, if the shaft seal goes out you will have alot of coolant in the oil.

Where can I find a diagram showing me how to reinstall plug wires from cap to plugs on a 1989 GMC 3500 w/a 5.7 Ltr. engine. I did not remove them so they aren't diagrammed.

Number one should be at the 5 o'clock position. Then the plugs should go 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 around the cap in a clockwise direction.
