I have a 1992 Dodge Ram Van B250 5.2L engine.. I have no instrument panel lights, no blower motor, no radio and no power to my widows. I DO have headlights, taillights, turn signals, park lights, dome lights and horn blows. I replaced the Ignition Switch, Starter and Solenoid, Ignition Lock Cylinder and new Battery. I'm STILL getting no power to the fore mentioned. I tried starting the Van by bumping the starter with screwdriver. It turned over real strong but would not start. What else could it be?
I would start checking fuses for power. It could be a battery cable issue or something in the fuse box. The dash lights would not be powered thru the key switch, but the other stuff would be. Provided the key switch is getting power for accessories.
Check what the battery reads while starter is running.Or you can turn on the headlights and try to start it to see if the headlights dim or go out.
If so then the battery is too weak or has bad connections at battery or at the engine ground or starter solenoid.

Today 11-12-08 my 2003 H2 Hummer would not start. Checked battery it ischarged. Cables tight. Tried to start with portable booster pak. No go. Tridto jump start with my wife's Suburban. Still no go.
When I turn the switch I hear a single click and that is it. No engine turning over. While trying to start with key the headlights go out. Out of ideas, Will take to Chevy garage in am. Will post solution.

Do you have a Chip in the Key? if so that Could be the Problem,Ya see the chip is a resistor and if it looses its ELECTRONIC VALUE in its Case Resistance it wont start to test this Turn the Key in the ON posission then do the Screwdriver thing If it Starts Key is Good and Most Likely the Ignition (SWITCH) is Bad <<ELECTRICAL Side NOY LOCKEST SIDE For More Info Recontact Me

will it start with a boost? either the starter motor or the battery. take the battery to auto zone and they will test it for you.
