Truck is not starting but lights still turn on

Please provide more information.

"I put the key in the ignition, turn it and the warning light goes out, I turn the key to start but there is nothing..." or

"I put the key in the ignition, turn it and the warning light goes out, I turn the key to start but there only a ticking/clicking sound..." or

"I put the key in the ignition, turn it and the warning light goes out, I turn the key to start but the engine only turns over and doesn't catch."

i don't know why but dodge trucks back feed threw the trailer lights and leave light on

check battery possible enough power for lights but not to turn over engine --try boosting to start

Sounds like the pump has seized.

OK try this, turn ignition on for about 20 minutes then turn off and try to start it again.It sounds like will need a new ignition switch and lock cylinder.

You need to reprogram the security system. Hook up a battery charger. Turn the key on for 11 min. The security light should go off. Turn the key off for 5 sec. Turn the key on for 11 minutes again. repeat this three times. After the 3rd time the truck should start

check fuel pump or relay,run scanner for trouble codes, some auto parts stores will do this for free

does it crank over? if not you turn your lights on and try cranking, does the head lights go dim? if yes check connections on starter, if not check connections on battery and the start wire on the solinoid.

You may have a failed battery, or maybe just dirty battery terminals. Check for both.

If the battery terminals are ok switch on the headlights - if they don't work the battery may be faulty.
If you have a multimeter check the battery terminal voltage- it should be greater than 12V.
