Fix a brake switch

https://www.obd-codes.com/p0571 ----- P0571 is a generic OBD-II diagnostic trouble code (DTC) that the engine control module (ECM) generates. The P0571 code is defined as a "cruise control / brake switch ' A' circuit malfunction." The letter 'A' can refer to a specific wiring, harness, connector, and so on.

The code refers the the brake switch "A" circuit. Probably the switch connected to the top of the brake pedal.

po571 problem code-- Cruise Control / Brake Switch "A" Circuit. There are so many things that can go wrong. The best bet is to take it to the dealer for a diagnosis. Because it will cost you, if you keep changing parts to repair it. Good-Day!

EOBD Codes:

• P0341 - Cam Position Sensor signal error- check wiring.connector,bolted securely. Or sensor itself damaged.
• P0571 - brake switch wiring or ECM problem
• P0609 - VSS-vehicle speed sensor output -ECM problem if wiring is OK.

I'd say that Brake Switch Circuit A is your problem. Check the wiring connection on the switch (located on the brake pedal near the firewall), then if that seems good, replace the switch.

I don't think the codes are directly related to the work on the brakes.

CODE PO571 CHECK TO SEE IF POWER AT BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH WIRE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IF YES BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH BAD.IF NO POWER GOING TO BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH YOU HAVE BROKE OPEN WIRE TO SWITCH.BLOWN FUSE ,PCM FAULT.

A couple of things. Is your cruise control working? If not, that's why light is on. And the other question - Did you reset computer (w/scanner) after replacing brake light switch? They don't reset themselves.
