The dealer will have a clear adhesive they recommend and sell over their parts counter. If they do not, ask the person behind the counter, and quite often they will have a recommendation. I might use clear silicone, but I'd prefer the recommended adhesive. Good luck and let us know your outcome so others may share.

How to replace the headlamp bulbs in 98 and newer Lincoln Town Cars

In order to replace the bulbs, the headlight assemblies need to be removed from the car.The following instructions make it easy.
The headlights and the grill have a top cover with clips that are unscrewed to remove it..There are about 6 of them. After the cover removal, remove the headlight assembly by pulling up on the two metal tabs on each light assembly or on the later models the few bolts holding in the light assembly. There is an access hole for a 1/4 inch extension to fit through for the bottom bolt. The bolts are 10mm.Then in the middle of the light assembly there is also a plastic tab that must be pushed down with a screwdriver and then the light assembly comes out.Once the electrical connectors are unplugged, the headlight assembly can be removed from the car ,put face down on a towel and disassembled so that the bulbs can be replaced.
The older versions have plastic tabs holding the back covers on,and the newer versions have T 27 torx screws holding the covers together. After the back cover is removed, you will see a collar that holds in the electrical socket that connects to the bulb. mark the collar position with a felt pen.Rotate the collar counterclockwise to remove it.The bulb and socket are then separated and the new bulb installed.Make sure the collar goes on first,as it will not slide over the bulb, only the bulb connector.Seat the new bulb, install the plug onto the bulb then the lock collar and reinstall the back covers.Do not touch the glass bulb surface with your fingers,as the oil will cause the glass to shatter when hot.Handle the bulb by the base only.
Before installing the light assembly into the car plug in the main connectors and check that the light works. If all is o.k., re-install the light into the car. After that, check to make sure that the lock tabs are all in place.Re- install the grill cover and the clips.Make sure that the hole in the grill cover on the driver's side goes over the hood switch for the alarm properly.Check final operation after re-assembly of all pieces.

How do you get the back off of a rearview mirror to stick it back n the window

Some have a cover hiding the screw or from the bottom theres a clip that need to be pryed back and held while you slide mirror of bracket, if theres no screw on the mirror to loosen then theres a clip arm holding it, also make sure to glue the right way take note of how it goes on because once you glue to glass its not coming off.

I am trying to replace the timing chain cover and can not get access because of the oil pan. I can not get the oil pan down far enough to get the timing cover on.

This, Problem is not uncommon. I assume the truck has a V8 Engine.
When you, removed the cover I'm sure you needed to pry the cover
from the block Not a lot of pressure but, still a little pressure.
Now, Trying to replace the cover is a little more troublesome.
First, You, need to be sure the cover is clean extremely clean.
Especially at the bottom where the seal is.there's a thin steel
gasket holder. Make sure the that area has NO oil on it.
Next, You'll need to shave, cut, grind a little bit of the inside
lip off the top of that steel gasket holder, Not a lot 1/4 inch
should work.at the top where the steel stops. Angle the cut= \ Then
Glue the Gasket to the cover. Wait, WAIT till the glue is dry don't install
to block till gasket is on GOOD AND SOLID. When ready you can lube
the bottom of the casket so it slides better. All the above will help the
cover easer to install. What type of glue ? Yellow trim glue, any glue will work as long as its good. and the seal woun't move.

How do i replace/remove the headlights from a 97 accord?

    1. Locate the headlight bulb that needs to be replaced. NOTE: It may be necessary to remove a component or the composite headlight assembly to gain access to the bulbs.
    2. Turn the headlights off.
    3. Detach the two prong connector from the base of the headlight bulb.
    4. Twist the bulb counterclockwise to unlock it from the headlight housing, then carefully withdraw the bulb from the housing. WARNING
Do not touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers. The pads of your fingers contain oils that will cause premature bulb failure. To install:
    5. Install a new bulb into the headlight housing, then turn it 1⁄4 turn to lock it into place.
    6. Attach the 2 prong connector to the bottom of the bulb.
    7. Turn the headlight switch on to make sure the bulb works, then turn the switch off.
    8. Install any components that were removed to get to the headlight bulb.

How to take the light out on a toyota corolla front headlight

If you have the same set-up as a lot of newer cars then it is not as hard as it may seem. This is an older post but someone else may find the information and be able to use it. When you open the hood on the inside there should be an electrical connection going to the headlights. Where that goes in to the headlight compartment there should be a rubber covering. Remove this rubber covering and disconnect the electrical connection. Once the cover and connection are out of the way you should be able to have access to the bulb. On a lot of newer cars, they have a contraption to hold the bulb in place the looks like a paper clip that has been bent in a lot of odd angles. If this is the system that you have it is easy from this point. At the bottom there is a slot that holds the paper clip (that's what I call it) in place and keeps pressure on the bulb to hold it in place. Apply pressure near the bottom and slide it to get it to release from the slot. At that point it simply swings up and the bulb is free to come out. Put the new bulb back in. Swing the paper clip thing back down and place the bottom end of it back in the slot. Replace the rubber covering making sure the prongs are all sticking out and then replace the electrical connection. Do the other side, it is always best to do headlights in pairs
