Hi i have sti 2000 got a high oil pressure problem.. on cold start up it on 8bar pressure as it warms on idle it steadly goes to 7 but will stay there.. on a run and when changing at 4 - 5 rpm it will hit the 10psi and the peak light wil come on the defi dials.. would this be lack of oil? cheers

Don't delay on this. Take the vehicle in and have the oil pressure sensor checked. It could be just the sensor or it could be something more serious. A drop in oil pressure could lead to catastrophic engine failure.

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak in the air intake side. Check all your small and large hoses around the throttle body. Also check your idle air valve....cylindrical device connected to the the air box at the front of the engine.

you need to replace the throtle body controll sensor. Also you may want to make sure all your linkage from the pedal to the throtle body is cleaned and lubed correctly. While playing in this direct area. Your throtle body is only 4 bolts away. Why not get some carb cleaner and get to know your truck just a litle more.
If this is a carborator, then you need to turn my warmup idle down. there are 2 sets of idles on carborators. the one to warm up the engine, automatic choke or pin settings. Get a Chilton, find out which idles pin is for what. and play a litle bit.
I think you have a throtle body so I would also check the automatic air intake sensor. It could be going bad. Check your filter and make sure its clean.
hope all this helps.

Could be the fast idle sensor check to see that the vacume line is hooked up properly.
