I have a 95 Dodge van with mag V8. Runs great but will just stop running at anytime. Fuel Pressure is around 40. When it stops, you can crank all day and nothing. wait a little and it will start. Drive for some time and happens again. Never happens the same time. Some times get it running and start down the road and only make it 2 miles. What do I need to look at?

My Ram recentlystarted running horribly to the point of the engine not even reaching 2000rpms. I was fearing the worst but it turned out to be the catalytic converter stopped up. I fixed it and it runs good as new.
I think you may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. What this does it tell the computer that the fuel has been brought to the correct pressure for the fuel injectors. If this sensor is bad it will not tell the pump when and if it has to stop or pump more when the engine is running.
sound like it running out of fuel.change your fuel filter, and check your fuel preasure should be around 38 to 40, if that ok run and see if it shut down again if it does I would be checking my fuel relay,I hope this helps you,
I had a similiar problem on my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Conversion Van. It ended up being a partial collapse of the catalytic converter which didn't allow adequate exhaust. The problem only showed itself because I could not get over 55 mph going up a small hill.
Try using higher octane fuel or octane boost in the winter this is a common problem on the dodge V-8s,after about 60,000 miles. However yours sounds like fuel line freeze up V-8s experience moisture in the fuel lines. Higher octane should help you may also wish to change your fuel filter, and run a fuel line cleaner through your van Seafoam is a good one.
