I have a 2007 Jag S-Type and I work with Mobile Phones for A Living. I also own my own computer repair business. My jag is supposed to have the bluetooth feature and it even says so in the manual. I have tried linking iphones, blackberry's, samsungs, you name it to my Jag and it does not work. The dealership can't figure it out either. When you press the phone button it reads back "No Phone" In the manual there is nothing that says it will ever say "No Phone" I'm what you could call a bluetooth expert so I know it is nothing I'm doing with the phone it has to do with the car. If the car was sending a signal I would know but further more if it would actually go into phone mode I would also know what to do. All I get is "No phone" when I try and that doesnt make sense. I know that car has some wierd radio frequency VIN number but I'm assuming that is for security. Mine is a not a touch screen model either (Some 2007's Are). If anyone could shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated.
This means you have no wiring set up.
To find out if your car was prewired, go to the Jaguar website and email them your VIN number and your request for info, they will look it up and email you back within about a day or two and tell you if the car was prewired for the bluetooth.
If it was, you can get the bluetooth up (very expensive) and if not prewired, I am afraid you are TOTALLY out of luck with your current car.
The manual does not discuss th "no phone" message that is only covered in the Bluetooth manual.
Does not matter if it is touchscreen or not.
