SOURCE: starts and stalls
I had a similar problem on my 1999 Grand Prix, 3.8l engine. I replaced the IAC Motor (Idle Air Control) that attaches into the throttle body. After disconnecting the battery, the computer goes into a learning process. It stalled once, but now seems to be running correctly. The codes set were Engine Misfire, which could be anything. I also bought a crank sensor, which is suspect, but I didn't install it.

if there are no codes it could be a crank sensor. most common if it only happens after you go over 80klms per hour is the egr valve

believe me the motor in your car has spark plugs. unless the engine is a deisel which i highly doubt...you definitely have a fuel problem, or more likely a gas guage problem.where at a 1/4 tank it actually is running on fumes... have it checked at a full service garage..good luck..

fuel pump yes...and it could be that the injector is dirty or faulty

It sounds to me like you need to replace your fuel filter. Depending on when your last complete tune up was, I would start there for sure.
