SOURCE: Air Conditioner works intermittently

It could be your low pressure cycle switch is going bad. Check the connection to the switch and it's is located on the A/C Accumulator. The other thing to check is the A/C relay and that is located in the glove box. There is a panel in the glove box that say's relay, there is three relays in there and one of the out side relay's out of the three is the A/C. can not remember which one it is. The middle relay is the fuel pump and the other one is the third break light. Switch the two out side relays and see if your A/C get's better. the other thing too is if the R134a is just a little low, and needs to be topped off. Good luck and hope this helps. if your going to try to recharge the A/C system your self, keep in mind not to over charge.

SOURCE: Cavalier A/C isn't working.,

If you see wet spots on the compressor it would be an indication that the compressor is bad, however buy a can or refrigerant with leak dye in it and see if you can see where the red dye is comming out and that will be your answer. Rather than guessing which one it is check it that way so you will know what it is then I can tell you how much to fix it.

If ac compressor or fuse isn't blew y would cold air wouldn't blow n lincoln ls 2000?

If the compressor is not engaging, your refrigerant charge may be insufficient. If the compressor is engaging, it is possible that your blend door (under the dashboard) is stuck or disconnected.

Sentra AC

There's a 10amp fuse that powers the ac clutch relay and compressor. There are 15amp fuses that power the blower motor and the ac control switch. All of those fuses get power from the key switch. The resistor and fan switch provide the ground circuit for the blower motor.
I would want to know if those fuses are getting power, and if the control panel is working. You should be able to ground the blower motor and make it run on high, and that should not have any effect on if the ac compressor is running or not.
It could be a key switch problem in that the circuit is not strong enough to handle the load from the blower and the compressor at the same time.

1995 Buick Century blowing hot air.

A mechanic would check the system with a set of pressure gauges. If the compressor is running, the low side would read around 30psi and the high side would be around 250psi. That is how you know if the system is full of freon or not.
You may have to get a professional diagnosis to proceed. If you replace the compressor, the accumulator needs to be replaced and a vac pump is used to pull all of the air out before the freon is added.

When i changed my alternator, my ac stopped blowing cold ac?

Changing the alternator in these cars is a work of art you need more arms than a budda ,what has happened is that in removing the front of the car to gain access either the gas was lost or a safety pressure sensor switch has been left with the wiring connector left loose so it will not work

My 1996 Viper GTS the A/C stops blowing cold air after 5 to 10 minutes of operation. When it does work it does blow cold air. Did I recently over charge and high pressure switch is shutting off?

That sounds exactly like your problem, try letting a little freon out at a time and see if it improves, if it get worse then you may have an undercharged condition, hold the idle at 1500m0upern rpm with ac on the compressor should run constant please rate and good luck

98 mustang squealing and ac

first thing to do before you charge it again replace the 'O' rings in back of the compressor also add some a/c oil because that will help the a/c compressor not to rattle this is the way I do mine I put in a can of 134A first and after that I put in the 134A oil and then I put in the rest of the 134A that is needed
I would disassemble the front brakes and check out the wheel bearings and sometime there is nothing wrong with them just need to add bearing grease but if they are scarred or damaged replace them
