This this all stock car, as most sammi are vastly modified, now.
common mod is put in Sidekick G16B engine.
so is it stock 1.3L?
that be first question, and if car is EFI and is stock or G16
the TPS needs 5vdc from the ECU.
if the ECU 5vdc ref pin is dead there are only 2 causes.
1: ECU bad.
2: this line is shorted.

1992 had 3 engines. 1.3 , 1.6 TBI and 1.6 MPI
throttle body or Multipoint injection (4 injectors) vastly different.
ECU TBI , pin a23 is 5vdc, if the map shorts, this can blow out the 5vde regulator,
ECU MPI. pin B6 runs only the TPS. sensors. (simple)

best practice here is to post displacement of engine,
and ECU part number. ECU suffix is all we need. and bingo.
I have all Suz, part. number, in my book. for all parts and all ECU.
(usa and canada)

The ECU shops (cardone is tops in USA) the first test
is the 5v pin, #1 off the dime. that.
the Sidekick ECU 8valve ECU. TBI , the 5vdc pin loves to burn the
pcb trace to kingdom come.
see that here.
examples see suz, page for 5v
http://www.fixkick.com/ECU/ecu-8v-sig-list/e76.jpg

see blown trace
the trace in front of this zener diode blows.
(usually customers hot wiring stuff (evil)
http://www.fixkick.com/ECU/5vdc-Refr-supply/56B30-5VDC.jpg

the acutal blown trace (and zener blown too)
is here see it, (if real sammi, it will be i different loc.)
this is a Sidekick G16A TBI ECU. 56Bxx
http://www.fixkick.com/look/ECU-secrets/images/33920-56B30_B15_damaged_trace-B15.jpg

how is that?
need more , ask /?

id bet cardone didnt check your ecu, (some fleabayer?)

Check ECM (engine computer) located under glove box. Injector circuit output probably dead. Replace ECM. Go to Searchparts.com for best price.

SOURCE: samurai toyota moto swap

You will have to Change the Wiring Harness and all for this Swap. Measure the Width and Length of the Motor Mounts on the Suzuki and the Toyota and see if you will need to Manufacture new Mounts. Check the Tranny Mounts also. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

SOURCE: 87 samurai bolt torque specs for engine

The haynes book is not recommended since there are numerous mistakes and they still will not update. One of the biggest is the firing order.

The factory service manual is the only way to go.

Head bolts - 46 - 50.5 lbs (there is an order sequence for the bolts)

Intake & exhuast manifolds- 13.5 - 20 lbs

Flywheel - 41.5 - 47 lbs

Clutch cover - 13.5 - 20 lbs

SOURCE: Suzuki Samurai Hitachi carb manual

Car 1994 Suzuki Vitara (Sidekick), 3 door, carburetor, petrol.
I need a hose diagram for the carburetor. The person who owned it before made a mess of the system so its not throttling steadily. Hoses are blocked off and I suspect hoses re routed.

Help me please!

SOURCE: how long will it take to repair a 87 suzuki samurai clutch, 4x4

Remove the shifter from inside, two connectors to the sensorson the trans at the firewall, remove 4 bolts holding front driveshaft to the front diff, slide rear section of front driveshaft out of the splines, remove 4 bolts holding rear driveshaft to transfer case and slide the driveshaft out of the transmission tailshaft, remove the two starter bolts ( hardest part of the job), leave the starter in the engine bay with the wires still attached, remove the clutch ARM from the transmission, remove the rear transmission mount (4 12mm bolts) support the transmission on a jack, put another jack in from of the engine to pitch the engine so the rear is sagging down slightly (this is so you have enough clearance to remove the transmission), remove the four 14 mm bellhousing bolts (remember the longer one goes onto the passenger side top) tip the tailshaft up to the floor of the Sammy and slide it to the rear as far as possible, let the front come down slowly ( it will barley rub the pressure plate but not enough to hurt anything) presto its out, replace the clutch assembly and grease throwout and transmission splines the reverse these steps. I have done 3 of these and accomplished my last one in 4 hours total. No need to remove the exhaust, transfer case or engine as others have stated on numerous write ups. You will need two 12mm combo wrenches, one 14mm combo wrench, one 3/8 drive ratchet with 12mm shortwell socket, a couple extensions for said ratchet, one small pair of pliers (to hold the clutch cable while adjusting) and a hammer to gently tap the clutch arm onto the splines.

How do you use 4 wheel drive on a suzuki samuri

the samurai doesn't have 2L it has 2H.
there are 4 modes on the transfercase. 2H, 4H, N and 4L.
2H engages the rear wheels only while 4H and 4L engages all 4 wheels. N disengages all 4 wheels, useful for flat towing.

Does the fuel pump relay on my 92 samurai chatter normally, or is this a sign of a ecm problem? The check engine light will not flash codes when I short the pins on the diagnostic connector.

No relay "chatters" normally, I would replace the relay first, they are inexpensive and that will eliminate that as the problem, plus those are alot cheaper than an ECM, I wouldn't suspect the ECM as causeing a relay to chatter! I say relay is the problem.
Good Luck !
