SOURCE: 4th gear indicator light on dash board flashes,

shift indicator flashing lamp is an indication that your transmission has issues, due to your speedometer not functioning properly the first guess is that your speed sensor is failing, but that is just a guess. first thing to do is to get your car computer system scanned for failure codes, there should be one for your transmission out put speed sensor, before changing any sensor make sure you test the sensor to verify its failure. get codes and re-post with results if any more help needed

1997 nissan turning off while stopping at light. also while driving wheel seems to shake.

Hello! I would suggest that the Absolute Sensor Pressure (APS) be tested first...It is the most likely fault...Do you have a mulitimeter? If so, the test is very easy...Set the meter to read 5 volts...Using two safety pins push one into the rear of the in-place APS (bolted to Throttle body) into the White wire and the other into the Black wire...Clip the (+) meter probe to the White safety pin and the (-) to the Black....Start the engine...at idle you should read close to 5 volts...At 2500 rpm it should drop to 1.8 to 2 volts...Send results...see picture below...Guru..Saailer

Sudden aceleration

I also own a 2004 XG 350 and am a Plaltinum Certified Technician. My best guess would be the APS (Accelerator Position Sensor) malfunction. However, if the malfunction lasted long enough, the "Check Engine" light would illuminate and set an APS code. Best advice -- have it properly diagnosed by a Certified Hyundai Technician (there just might be other/pending issues).

Low power message; engine nearly stalled. 2007 impala with 30,000 miles only

Oh, if the engine is getting an error code, scan the computer for the code.
However, I solved a problem for something like this on a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, which is similar to the 2007.

It may very wel be the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) or the APS (Accelerator Position Sensor) which is faulty causing a code relating to the TPS not correlating with the transmission module.

So, if you are getting such a code, I would first try to replace the TPS, then if it isn't solved, try the APS.

If changing both doesn't solve the problem, maybe a wiring harness problem from these two sensors that input to the Transmission and Engine is faulty.

Good luck on this repair.

What the voltage of the TPS and APS should be at

3.0 V6 engine? Key on, engine off the voltage on the Brown/White wire will be .5 to .75 volts. If its not, loosen the 2 screws and adjust it. 20% at idle is NOT correct. should be at "0"

Check the accelerator position sensor on the pedal!

If this is what I think it is, on the 3.5 Lit V6, you have an APS (Accelerator Position Sensor) and a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). The accelerator pedal cable is NOT directly connected to the throttle body plate, it's connected to the APS. The APS sends its signal to the ETSCM (Electronic Throttle System Control Module) which in turn activates the ETS Motor located on the throttle body which opens/closes the throttle plate/butterfly. It's a very sofisticated electronic system. Both the APS and the TPS are known to go bad and simply replacing them is no guarantee of fixing problems in this system (often times it does, and frequently it doesn't). You should first verify there is a problem with these sensors (APS and or TPS). They are basic potentiometers (two circuits in each) which provide data to the computer regarding throttle opening for LOAD calculations (ignition timing, fuel injector pulse width, cruise control operation, etc). Best you have this system diagnosed by a professional technician who knows the system.
