Three of the five climate control lights are out

I got hit by a van, they fixed the car but have been having problems with the climate control panel ever since. They were all out and the shop said it was the dimmer switch. Got it back and a few days later, three of the five are out. Fuses look good. No diagrams in the manual about how to change the bulbs.

SOURCE: Climate Control will not light up

Your best approach to this problem is to buy a 12 volt tester. Looks like an ice pick with an electric wire coming out of the top. Cost about $6.00 at any parts store.

Connect the metal clip to a good ground, turn the ignition switch on, then with the ice pick, touch each end of the fuse. Good fuses will light up when you touch them at both ends. A defective fuse will only light up on one end. Find and replace.

If you would like to contact me again about this or other problems, feel free to do so.

SOURCE: 97 Honda Accord. Dash & taillights blow fuses.

Bad grounds cause weak dim lights and intermittent operation a positive circuit shorting to a metal ground causes shorts and blown fuses burnt connections. You need a wiring diagram for the circuit and need to trace the wires and look for a short. Or if there is no short in the wiring and this vehicle uses a module computer for the lighting the module could be faulty.

SOURCE: my 98 accord coupe dash lights are not working

push and twist bulbs have little noches one on each side. if un sure ask autoparts store for bulbs for dash and you can see what they look like. and pull fuses .they sometimes look good ,but check anyway.

SOURCE: gauge cluster lights won;t light

When you put the stereo in, what did you do with the red wire with a green stripe? The aftermarket radios don't always use these, so you have to wrap the ends, depending on whether or not you used a wiring harness. If that wire is shorted on the chassis, it will blow the dimmer fuse.

2009 buick lucerne, heater/ac fan intermittent working, then quit. Have already replaced climate control panel, blower resistor and blower motor. Still nothing. Anyone?

My Lesabre did that and I am not sure how my mechanic did it but he said it would cost an arm and leg to repair it so he hooked up a separate switch under the dash and everything worked after that. a seventy five dollar fix is better than three hundred. See if your mechanic has an idea. He said the off and on part of the automatic switch was not working but after he put an off and on switch in the line the climate control worked.

Chevy silverado climate control

you are looking at the bulbs and not the problem beyond the bulbs. If you have power to the bulbs and power through the bulbs then you have no earth return for the power to return to the battery. Check out the earth points for the bulbs.

The climate control fans won't come on, and without them I can't use the A/C. I checked all the fuses and they are ok. How do I fix this problem.

Inspect for burnt wiring connectors at the switch and the blower motor, replace all that are damaged and the switch as well.

I need to remove climate control panel in 95 linc towncar how do i remove it

First get a sledge hammer and some store bought lemon juice. Pour the juice into the crevices around the climate controls. Now get a sledge hammer and lightly tap the areas around the climate controls. Once it has loosened up, you can wedge your foot into the crevice for balance. You will need this as now you are going to hit the panel as hard as you can with the hammer. The panel should come right off. Hope this helps

if you are sure that your heater core is not restricted. then try to recalibrate the climate control panel. if your a/c system is not working then DO NOT ATTEMPT THE RECALIBRATION it will make your lights on climate control panel flash codes forever.
to reclaibrate the climate control panel just have the engine running. turn the mode to vent, the temp to cold, the blower on high, then press and hold the rear wiper wash and wiper buttons at the same time until the panel lights up then wait about 2 minutes for it to run completly when completed. turn off ignition and then restart the engine try to se if you have heat again. if it doesntwork post the codes it gives you after the calibration test.

AC when you first cut in on, blows cool air then the next thing you know it is blowing hot air. The lights go out, and I tap it, it comes back on and again blows out cold air. This goes on the whole time...

Dude, everyone has this problem. It's the wiring on the back of the climate control panel. If you look up this issue with the climate control panel you will find various links to diagrams of how to fix this issue. The original soldering on back of the panel gets loose and the simple cheap fix is to un-solder it and re-solder it. Then everything will work 100% and even your interior lights with brighten. -neoblis
